Good on ya!!! Love good deals, and patience is always the key to finding them. Being a broke older college student has reminded me very well that most times patience is the only option, however I am looking forward to having a little wiggle room.

Growing up I lived in Steamboat for a few years. That was back before it exploded into what it is today. I sure miss that place. Spent many weekends up at Rabbit Ears Pass.

Wow that is an amazing score, Cole! Craigslist?

Sorry for the delay. Yes, it was a Craigslist find. They have 80/20 for $1lb and some other brand for $0.69 lb. They literally have tons of the stuff.

I went back today and bought another $186lbs worth. Wanted some of the rectangular stuff and a few dozen mounts. So I now have about $4k of 80/20 for about $400.

Here is the link if anyone else local could benefit from it.

One of two 7' sections I have covered with brackets.

Well, the basic plan is to build in a modular system.

-Rails for the bed to sit on and be easily removed for large cargo.
-Wheel well boxes, a cabinet for water and stove storage/cooking area.
-shelves/overhead cabinets.
-cargo area for bikes/skis/snowboards behind the second row of seats.

The 80/20 will allow panels to be installed/removed easily. That way I can install all the insulation, lights, wiring, etc.

Should have enough to build an outside ladder if I want, battery box, etc, etc

Alright. Finally got a saw set up and started playing with the 80/20 today.

Took down one side of my E-track and replaced it with 80/20. This will be a foundational piece for the rest of the build. You will notice that I was able to get it all mounted with no bolts showing.(took a lot longer this way)

The old wall for comparison.

The new, unfinished, wall. The slots in the 80/20 should allow me to slide in panels and put my sound deadening and insulation behind it easily.

In addition to the stuff listed there is "T-slots". Sometimes you need to be a bit creative for craigslist searches. I think finally found this stuff while searching "Extruded Aluminum"
