I'm looking at maybe using a bed liner paint. How is Durabak?
They come in 16 colors. looking like about $90 a gallen

I painted mine with Durabak and so far it seems pretty durable. I've been using their products for a couple years and have good results. If you want the coating to remain glossy then spend the extra $ and get the UV rated one. I would also recommend spraying it rather than rolling it. The rolled product is very rough to the touch (like #30 grit sandpaper) and the sprayed durabak more like a regular bedliner (rhinoliner). An undercoating gun (available at most auto-paint stores) with a 1 quart disposable plastic can works really well. I used a whole gallon on my M100 and went over the rails with it.

Thanks for the info. I've been looking at D'bak for my M416. I was wondering how much it would take. What kind of prep work did you do?

I used a gallon but I was trying to cover alot of welds and patches. For prep, I used paint stripper to get the first 15 layers of paint off, sand blasted a couple more and ended up spraying over whatever was too stubborn to get off. The Durabak needs something to stick to so a it's ok to go over the old paint as long as it isn't pealing up. Just make sure you rough it up so it has something to grab. Good luck.

As soon as the temp goes up here in the NorthEast I can get to town on the bed. For the age of the trailer 51? The beds not bad I welded up a few cracks
and soon I will be reday to paint.

I got the new axle all welded up and in. Next step find some rims.
The tires and wheels are off a stock CJ with 235's they are close to the fender and stick out a bit. I carry stage 8 locking jam nuts that are light years
ahead of the old jam nuts and will never back off. So I put a set of them
on the axle. I'll get some more pictures up soon. If you want see check out the stage 8 locking nuts www.7slotgrills.com then click on Stage 8
They come in Dana 30 with 6 bolt hubs, Dana 44 and Dana 60.

Gone is the rusted 2" box tubbing with welded on GM hubs !
Here is a picture of my new M100 Axle. 2 1/2" round tubing, axle saddles and new Ubolts .I used the rest of that RostO Army green paint for the axle.
No need to waste it.

I have short spring hangers on my M100? Don't know why? But
they are the same as the CJ from that time.
In order to clear the tires I welded/ bolted in 2" heavy wall box tubing
on top of the spring hangers this was a quick fix.

Nice weather is here! My M100 has the short spring hangers CJ style so I had
to add 2" tubing on top of the spring hanger in the front. The bed was rusty
but no holes so I painted it with POR.

I had a set of 6" factory old school Jeep rims. I just painted them
Krylon Olive Green, I used a hand spay adapter, man it felt like
painting like a pro. I like the contol it gave me. I picked mine up at Walmart.

Here are some picures of the Stock 6" Jeep Steel rims with BFG's.
Painted Olive Green . I started to paint the Jeep letters on the back
but I need a better brush. I'm still trying to get a gallen of the Krylon
Olive Green. You can see the whole project from the start to now at
