Wow, beautiful! Where did you get your actuators? They 24 inch? How many lbs? Do you have any issues with them binding if it's not raising or lower all at equal rates?
What brand, lift capability, and stroke length of linear actuators did you use? I am in the process of figuring out the ones that I need for my Tepui tent and trailer also. Go the last few pages of my build and you can see what I am working on - http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-builds/301096-arrowshots-build.html
Thanks.
Wow, Really like what you have done with this. Has really transformed into a very nice looking trailer. I also would like more information on the actuators when you get a chance.
Thanks guys. I hope to finish it this winter. I can't remember the name brand but I think it was Sierra. I got them on Amazon.com. they are 18" stroke and I think they have a 150 lb lift capacity. They are a little slow, but work flawlessly. If you guys would like when I get back in town I can look through my receipts and give you the exact info.
Arrowshot nice truck build. Anyone looking to do a similar rack system, I recommend using stainless tubing for the legs as it will not rust or oxidize also do not require lubrication. I have seen other do a similar system with steel and they have binding issues.
Tennjk the trailer looks great and I like the lift system. Winter is a great time to work on these things. Mine has been sitting for about a year now and my son has taken control of it but I am going to do the same thing and work on improvements during the winter. These things are never done.
LOVE your trailer. Specifically interested in the actuators/tent lift. When it reaches max height do you pin it? Or do the actuators hold the weight of the tent? If you happen to come across the receipts for the actuators I'd love to know what kind they are. Linear? I have the a Tepui Autana and I use the annex every time. I am looking to build a trailer mounted system much like yours. Again, well done.
Hello ffdawson, sorry for the delayed reply. It has been a crazy few weeks. I do pin the rack at its make height, but it is unnecessary as the actuators will hold it no problem. Here is the link to amazon for the actuators. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00K553QLA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Serg5000, thanks! I do have a little OCD.
