Well this is the crewcab that one of the guys is building here at work on the weekends. There are some earlier build pics around on our thread somewhere but it sure looks a bit different now.. Last weekend he made a camper body for the back which the painter color matched to the cab yesterday. It's got soft sides and a bed and fridge inside. Very neat and importantly light so it's a piece of cake to lift off. I'll post some pics with the body on after it's first outing this coming weekend.

Not sure how the spare will be accessed though once the body is on. That'll need some more thought but it sure looks the part for now. Notice the neat stainless exhaust and snorkel.

The bullbar was salvaged from our old workshop Hilux which died a horrible death . The bar was the only part on the poor old Toyota that wasn't riddled with orange cancer. Looks like it was made especially for this Canter, heh?

But why is it up for sale now after all that great work?

I think he's decided to keep it for a while now Peter.

Where did he get those flares from????

He made them from scratch. Like I said, he's a very clever young guy. We might have a 649 crewcab flare mould happening at ATW at the moment though, me thinks.

Peter, I thought he was. It sold over the weekend. I can tell you that he had people flagging him down on a couple of occasions wanting to know all about it?, where did he get it?, what was it? , would he sell it? bla, bla, One guy actually jumped in front of the truck as he was leaving the local servo. Crazy. So I imagine someone made an offer that was too good in the end.
