More proof that Jeep is the leader in 4x4 overland vehicles

I don't really care. Im packing my jeep how I want. When I want. again, I am not in the us so they don't go checking every little fart you do and sue you over it. Only over stupid stuff like sueing the government over moose vehicle accident.

Honestly it depends on what state you are in. The "road" laws can vary from mild to "don't care what you have on the road as long as you registered it with the state."

but yours don't over here....see. from everything thats available HERE, its the best. elsewhere, I think the defender/Rovers are the gear!

There is no reason to come into this thread and making the comment you did. thats all I am saying....

Of course there is reason, it's an international website attracting international users who have the ability to offer input. Just because it conflicts with your viewpoint and your vehicle seems to be the issue.

I also wouldn't agree that Jeeps are the choice in North America for over landing. Popularity and aftermarket support don't mean they are the vehicle being used for over landing. Every co ed has a wrangler and they don't overland in them

Well said.

ok, tell all the guys I know that use the wrangler for overlanding that. they will all sell them for Toyotas....And as I said before there are many more crusiers, 4 runners and qx's(patrols) being sold as soccer mom cars instead of wheeling them than co ed's driving jeeps too. Its all realitive. I know that my friends, and I, as well as LOTS of people that I talk to regularly Go overland style in our wranglers....very regularly...

Yes some people use them, no one is disputing that. The OP was saying they are now the vehicle of choice and no they aren't.

It's great you are happy with your vehicle no one is saying you shouldn't be. But you are indicative of an isolated group in your area, Newfoundland isn't the largest target market to get an indicative result from

Myself and my friends used to overland in our Samurais, Cape York, Simpson Desert, around Australia, still doesn't mean they are vehicle if choice by the majority for over landing.

:sombrero: Heh Heh, I already have two Toyotas, cars--

There's no way I'll trade my Jeep JKUR for a Toyota, of any 4x4 config !

Off topic here but has anybody taken a look at the lawn furniture that is on sale at the Home Depot this weekend? Man I gotta get me some a that.

Oi, how about the merits of unmanned aircraft? It is truly off road and guarantees a realistic travel experience in complete comfort from your sofa!

Dude, Home Depot? So.......non nondescript. Patio World has a way better product, chairs have a higher payload and the tables come in a multitude of sizes!

And here I thought, function, specs, and fit for purpose was a side show to cool and what we saw on youtube. We here don't care about that or what we can get if we step across our comfort zone into new borders; Americans have tunnel view.

Your lawyer and insurance company will tell you differently.....

HAHA! What a cop out! My insurance company, what do they have to do with the law? I can legally smash my rig with a sledge hammer but it won't be covered for insurance.

I know, you couldn't find one, could you?

But I just saved a bundle on my car insurance, and all in under 15min. Woot! I hope they cover sledge hammer accidents?
