OK in my battle with the state, they now want a VIN tracing of the VIN on the tongue of the trailer... I don't have one, just the VIN plate on the camper. Did anyone find a VIN on the frame?
I am so close to pulling the VIN plate off my 1966 Nimrod camper (now a utility trailer) that is already registered and calling it good. Heck, I would have the only 1966 Conqueror in the US ; )

I currently only have on the back, but I will get another when I get a fridge.
I did drill and used self-tapping screws. That part worked great. Getting the lock to align was the pain. Thank goodness for the Dremel Tool.

So when I got my trailer the poles that dean gave me are replacements of the originals that he was missing so they would not fit in the compartment between the water tanks. I cut the back of it open and modified a fence post and with rivets and RTV it is on there really tight and should also keep the water out. Now my poles fit great.
He had non-Conqueror poles that were longer.I had fit issue too. The pole access was behind the license plate and scraped on the bottom of the bumper coming out. Getting them back in was worse and a real PITA. Was that the same issue?
