Very nice pictures coming in.
And speaking of Toyotas, I wanna see Mike from Autohomes Land Cruiser.

My family and I had our first exposure today. Got alot of ideas I want to incorporate into my trailer.... Lots of Awesome rigs there today, we only had time to do a walkthrough of the vendor area, and still spent 6 hours :) !

Is Amado to be the permanint venue or will it be held different places each year?

I think you would have a tough time finding a better loaction.

Airport access within 30 minutes with real flight availability. Not a major mega airport mess. Major interstate access to site. Medium city infrastructure within 30 minutes, little town strip malls, and hotels within 15 minutes.

Yet, remote site, beautiful views, good daytrip routes available, and remote camping within 30 minutes drive (very remote). Facilities seemed to be pretty nice. Good southwest desert ambiance (of course I am biased). Weather is great, temps mid 70s to low 80s. Nope, not gonna improve on that.

Location and facilities a huge improvement from last years debacle.

Thanks for posting guys! Looks like a great time!

Scott.....Nice spread!

It is cool to think about about 5 years ago when this was just an idea from the master Mr. Brady and the gang! Boy have we grown.....Thanks guys!

Keep the pictures and reports coming!

Paging Mr. Green.......Any video's that you are going to post this year?

There's an Overland Expo ride report thread on ADVrider: Link

Photos of Ted Simon, Lois Pryce, Ara & Spirit, Lorraine Chitock plus a couple of other familiar faces.

It looks like a great event and I wish I was there!

Cheers,
Graham

I just finished updating the daily blogs with a bunch of photos added.

Dont have time to upload them to the forum right now because I'm about to miss another presentation, but I'll be sure and max out the bandwidth once I get home.

Between Tom from U.P. Overlanders and me, we probably have multiple photos of EVERY vehicle and EVERY person who attended...LOL

I talked with one guy yesterday who said he pulled into the campground thinking it was the show. He said he spent TWO HOURS in the campground before he even realized it wasnt the real show:drool:

If you missed this years event, you need to start planning for next year right now. It's amazing to be sitting around talking with Doug and Stephanie Hackney, Lance from Disabled Explorers, Ara, Scott Brady, Gary and Monika Westcott, Lois Pryce, Austin Vince, Johnathan Hansen, Ted Simon, (The list of Overland Stardom could go on for days!!) the owners of AEV and the head honchos from Jeep, Land Rover, Suzuki and the Camel Trophy Series like it's nothing.

The staff from the Overland Journal is really cool and the booth is over the top...in a good way.

Everyone is so approachable and will go out of their way to sit and talk with you. Probably one of the best events I've ever attended, and I was one of the presenters, but I'm so blown away by all the people I've followed along with for so many years, I'm a tiny fish amongst sharks

OFF TOPIC:

If anyone knows who makes those wheel chairs please PM me. My uncle is paralized from the armpits down (farming accident). He still runs 4 ranches; hardest working person I have ever seen and he does it from a wheelchair, or dragging himself through the mud on his chest.

This would be very useful to him, as now he has to use customized quads to get around the fields.

BACK ON TOPIC:

I AM SO BUMMED I DIDNT GET TO GO!! AHHHH...next year!

Great pics guys, keep them comming, I want to see everythign I am missing.

Thanks,
Robert
