Thanks. The roof basket comes from B. Lee's Offroad located in Tennessee. Brian has some standard designs for XJs but on this one I wanted a deeper basket- 6 inches- and some segregated areas for the water cans (hard to see but the cans have rails around them). I sent him one of the ARB lights and he designed the front light mounts and the brush deflector with those in mind. His racks aren't inexpensive but he builds a great product.

So I just found this thread.....wow... I'm a total XJ fan. But after 17 pages yours is the way out there coolest meanest XJ there. Nice job! Looks awesome and I hope preforms as well. Nice!!!!

I have been lurking for a little while and feel its time to finally get involved since I'm planning a 1 month cross country trip scheduled for fall 2014. I love everything about XJ's and wish Jeep would wise up and start making them again(that sorry excuse for a jeep isn't a cherokee, more like a compass limited).
I was bit by the Overlanding bug by watching videos on YouTube of others trips, I'm not into bashing my rig on giant boulders and rock gardens. Clean, capable, comfy is where I'm headed.
