Looking for mattress opinions. OVRLND Foam vs Roam Rest vs Foambymail. Currently have a Nemo Roamer and it’s just not quite right for my back. Hest is out since they don’t make a size that would work.

I have an 11” cabover so looking at 4” mattress
We are finding our Exped MegaMat, Queen size pad to fit the bill nicely.
It is very warm in winter conditions and super comfortable with combination of foam and air.

Cheers

I have a Roam Rest Pioneer 4", and had them make it to the exact specs of the bed platform and cut it in 2 pieces with no zipper.

I'm super happy with it, very comfortable, maybe better than my mattress at home.

Interior progress. Insulated with R6 foam board, added a bed rug, and hid some wires. Really liking how it’s coming together
It’s looking good!

Re: the Bedrug. Love mine, but I found that with use going in an out and lounging on the TG at camp the thinner foam under the TG compressed into the corrugations on my TG in a way that the interior bed did not as its thicker. Maybe the Ranger’s will be better, but I ended up going back an filling in the valleys in TG. It helped, but I still have ripples in the TG part of the Bedrug I wish I didn’t have.

Might be worth to pull up the TG Bedrug and put something under there to help keep it flat and nice, unless you have a flat TG to start with.

The corrugations on the tailgate are deep and many, so I'll have to get them filled in sooner than later!

Nice work adding the cameras F/R, that helps a ton. I did something similar to my truck.

Any reason you mounted the rear camera above the brake light?

From my experience, mounted that way at night, all you will see is the red LEDs.
I mounted my rear camera up high as well. Down low I had more water spray in rain and snow covered roads. I still get a little, but much better now.

Hey @Fergie — Did you ever install these, and if so, what’s your opinion of them?
I did indeed install the bed support. Install itself it straightforward, and I gave the mfg some feedback as to providing longer hardware, but other than that, pretty easy.

Now, what I don’t like is the squeaking. Every team movement of the bed has a metal on metal squeak from where the crossmember rubs the lip edge of the bed. Thankfully, I’m too lazy to get under and remove it, but I can see it making another more OCD person insane.

Glad it was straightforward; that’s drag on the squeaking. I’d be the person who would go nuts with that!

Is the squeaking audible in the cab while driving, the camper while you’re moving around or both?

Has anyone ever made their own Arctic Pack Canvas Insulation Liner? I am sure I can live without it, I have so far. But $800.00 is way more than I want to pay for a liner in my camper.
