I love my Fiamma F35 Pro 8 footer. I wished I would have bumped into you to check out your setup; we were camping off of 7034 over there too for field training exercise with KC4x4SAR. Coming home, we took the route from there to Stampede Pass...Nice drive.

We were up there a few years ago at the entrance to the pea gravel road that goes to Stampede.
A full size pickup had just emerged from there, so we asked him where the road went.
I would like to go over that sometime.

BTW, Thanks for all the SAR work that you do.
Many lost in these areas of WA would never make it home if not for the countless hours you guys put in, looking for a needle in a haystack.

Finally got around to testing mine out (in the front yard - lol)
$20 for poles, some rope and a tarp swiped from the wife's woodworking shop.
Helps to have a big rack. lol :friday:

2 x Cabela's Udjustable Height Tent Poles
1 x Kelty Noah's Tarp (available in 9', 12', & 16' sizes)
4 x Tent stakes (that I already had)
40' x 550 cord
Nice. Multipurpose.
One item - multiple applications. Tent fly, lean-to, hasty tent. SilTarp 10x12; packs to the size of a cantaloupe. Load Tamer cinch locks, scissor clips, 550 cord guy lines.

A bunch of us brainstormed the shade dilemma extensively while at the Overland Rally in Hollister.
So, to start with I picked up a set of four 12 inch Snow Peak stakes (solid stake #40's) along with their uber cool Snow Peak tent peg hammer. http://www.snowpeak.com/shelters/stakes-hammers.html
Overbuilt, go-anywhere stakes are a must, as is the ability to pull them out
Now, with a couple of attachment points on the back of the FliPac over the tailgate, and the Kelty Car Tarp http://www.kelty.com/p-126-car-tarp.aspx , I should be GTG for tailgate area shade.
Then, I will add either the Camping Lab or the ARB awning with side panels for side-of-the-truck shade and extra sleeping room/privy/etc. http://www.campinglab.com/awning.html - http://www.campinglab.com/awningacc.html
Should be quite a setup once assembled, and lightweight when travelling
