Decided to put twin rear shocks on the rear.. terrafirma has a plate that bolts onto the rear shock mounting points to allow another shock to be installed, pretty surdy piece of kit too... I opted to weld it in place..

A problem with the 110 is that the rear mudflap sits too close to the rear wheels..when backing up in mud, sand, rocks etc..if the rear mudflap gets pushed against the rear tyre it rips the mudflap off and takes a chunk of the rear fender panel mounting point with it...(ask me how I know..;((.) actually you can see where it ripped out of in the first pic..SO I eliminated the existing mounting point and mounted them all the way on the back cross-member.. took a small piece of angle aluminum and flat stock aluminum and bolted the mudflap between them and then mounted the angle aluminum to the rear cross member..drilled holes through it and recessed the left rear to allow the exhaust exit..trick is getting the angle right so they sit straight..

Care to take an outside pic that shows it from a distance, so one can see how it looks overall with the new mudflaps?

Soooo, it appears I have a sickness... I recently was alerted to a camel trophy defender 90 that came up for sale...while i thought there was soething not 100% about it I decided to take a gamble..and bought it...

While it looks to be interesting the verdict is still out on its authenticity.. it appears to have some of the right stuff on it but thinking its a replica...will still make a great addition and a fun beater without worrying about destroying a piece of history... will make a great vehicle for one of my daughters... when they are old enough to drive they will be flown to europe and each one can bring a friend and we will travel europe in the 3 camel trophy trucks, they can go off where they want to but I will still be able to be close at hand if caca occurs...will be kinda cool all of us having a european vacation together... seeing the sights..like the pyramids etc etc.. may even convince them to hang with their old man for a while..volunteering at the big game parks etc..get them involved in conservation etc....
