Round 2!!!! A build thread

Well the great people have been helpful at Abbott Electronics. Thru talking with Mary there it seems we've come to the conclusion that my era box is bad.

Gotta send it back and have the people there check it out.

So close. :banghead:

it happens, I got a bad one to.
with the help of BajaSportsMobile I ended up using a Dakota Digital Universal Speedometer Signal Interfaces SGI-5

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/dak-sgi-5

Ends up being a little nicer because of the micro-adjustments on the speedo.

I'm waiting to hear back from Abbott Electronics about the box and what will be done about it.

It was mailed out Friday the 28th so I'd expect to hear back this week.

They said there was nothing wrong with the unit and there mailing it back.

I'll give it another go around.

If I still doesn't work I'll try the alternative from dakota digital

Well ******. I dont what happened. I hooked it up and now it decided to work.:screwy:

I guess that's a good thing.

Divide by 5 is what I set it at for my 37s.

It's reading correctly and man that trans feels good with the extra clutch packs, transgo shift kit and triple disc torque convertor.

Now time to cut the floor to install the transfer case shifter and get the front driveshaft modified.

I had a misshape and it is keeping me from installing the front driveshaft. Ugh.

I swear, if I didn't have bad luck I'd have no luck...

Shifter is installed

Along with my factory Ford tow hitch, so I can use the RB rear skid plate.

Almost there!!!!

Took it out for its official 4x4 test. FINALLY!!!!

Worked flawlessly. Played in the general are for a bit to get used to it.

Then decided to try the black diamond trails.

4 lo and 1st up and down them. I couldn't have asked for better performance from the 4x4. Rowher flats was a great testing ground for it.

Looks great!! I can imagine my red '01 RB V10 van looking similar a couple years down the road. Have you noticed any rubbing issues with the 37s on the 6" lift?

Yes. The 37 definitely rub. A few times going down and turning they rub alot. I gotta trim the fender, but still looking for a decent flare to put on the van.
