Some photos taken from our time in Bosnia & Herzegovina. We were here about a week and visited Mostar, Sarajevo and some remote villages in the mountains to the east of the country. Lisa has written a blog post for this but it is on the other laptop so we will post up another time.

Duran - A farmer working and living 1500m up in the mountains near Konjic. His place was the end of the road for us as he said the way to Lukomir was completely shut off. We spent some time with Duran in his house drinking coffee and eating dried lamb. We were the 1st people he had seen getting to his village in 9 months. Great hospitality.

So we are a little behind on the blog posts on our website as life on the road is actually very busy!

We got all our visa's in Ankara so we are all set for Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. While in KYR we will pick up another KAZ visa and while in Almaty we will pick up our final Mongolian visa.

Since leaving Ankara we have visited Cappadoccia in Southern Turkey and traversed along the Black Sea coast for a while before entering Georgia at Sarpi. We managed to wildcamp for an entire week so saved a small fortune on accommodation costs. We camped next to a kebab shop, in a small harbour, next to a reservoir, in a forest, next to a thermal spring and everything else in between! Its hard to hide the Landy and trailer but we get by.

Currently in Georgia we have driven high into the Caucasus mountains in Svaneti all the way to Mestia and Ushguli (The highest permanently inhabited village in Europe) Peaks here rise to over 5000m which is quite something in this part of the world. The scenery far surpasses that of the Alps. We have another week here in Georgia before we leave for Russia via the Georgian Military Highway skirting around Chechnya and Dagestan... 2 places we do not want to be hanging around for long.

More photos to follow... hopefully!
