Sleeping bag quality

I agree with going cheap. For car camping I use an el cheapo synthetic Coleman bag with cotton liner. I received this bag as a present when I was about 12... that would have been about 1987! It is heavy and hardly compresses at all when packed, but for car camping it works just fine. It is so much more comfortable then my tiny ultralight backpacking bag. As my boys get older and space becomes more important, I may brake down and get a decent down bag that packs small.

Review of the Teton Sports Celsius XL HERE

Spent 3 nights in Death Valley using these bags (January 2013). Very impressed. Roomy, comfortable, WARM. Temps in the 20's and 30's at night - I actually got so warm I was sweating so had to unzip the bag a bit!
