I am promoting a club (pretty much a bunch of my friends) I am a member of with a sticker and indeed it is on a snorkel! :D

I think it actually makes snorkel look better, although this isn't a very good picture to prove this point.

Nobody laugh at my little wagon...

I do indeed have stickers on my ride, but most of them just prove what a friggin granola I am:

Top left is self explanitory, bottom is Chaco, the sandals I live in 10 months out of the year...and the face in the window is Shira, my Alaskan Huskey mix

ForesterBox2.jpg

on the box is Second Ascent, a used mountaineering gear store in town and "Nice Rack" from the outfitter I get most of my rack stuff from. The yellow one is moe., a jamband I'm into...and on the side is SRK, Seattle Raft and Kayak, my friends shop and outfitting company. And a ways down the side of the box is YMSB on a green oval...Yonder Mountain String Band.

There are more now, these are from right after I got the car...

So, I guess you could say I support the tasteful use of stickers

I have a handful of ski racing related stickers on the Pathfinder (actually that my dad put on, I'm more about stealth) for Stockli skis (though I ski mostly Nordica), Loveland Masters Racing, and one that says Hug A Racer, cheesy I know. Nothing on the Trooper.

The only one I regret not getting is from a shop in Fort Collins that no longer exists called Acceleration Unlimited, just for the name. Oh, and I have a Dominator Racing sticker on my boat, which is odd since it is a ski wax company.

I was going to put on one of the oval stickers that said CNP, for Colorado Nature Photographers, but that group has changed names and either disintegrated or been assimilated, depending on your view.

That's nothing, my Jack-in-the-Box antenna ball adds about 10 HP and 23 ft-lbs of torque! :smiley_drive:

My D-90 has the following stickers on the rear side and quarter windows

Club stickers:
AMA
Solaros
ROAV
United 4WD
Porsche 356 Registry

Event sticker: ROAV MAR20007

and just because I work on them and they are cool: F-22 Raptor

All of the equipment stickers go on the front of the big two door metal cabinet in my garage.

I say yes, but only to certain ones.

The 4x4parts.com stickers have been removed, as well as the Rancho stickers. The small 4x4parts.com sticker on the back window has been replaced with a Save Paragon sticker. On the left side of the liftgate (opposite the Jeep Thing sticker) is an Xterra Recovery Vehicle sticker, kind of an inside joke among the Nissan guys...:victory:

Mostly though, I only sport stickers from clubs that I am a supporting member or officer in, or an organization that I really agree with and support, like 4x4Support.com and TreadLightly! (I've got a large TreadLightly windsheild banner waiting for warmer weather.)

Have I mentioned lately that I hate salt?

I had some military stickers on my previous vehicle. Might put some on my current one. I only stick them to the windows, though, because that way they can be easily removed with a razor knife.

On my Montero I had a couple of those round oval country stickers, they were 'ZW' (Zimbabwe) and H (Hungary.) In both cases I got them in those countries as souveniers. Tried to find an "HV" (Croatia) and BiH (Bosnia) but couldn't.

I was never much into sponsor stickers. OTOH, I got a sticker at "Truck Toyz" in Longmont and might put it on the topper since they were so good to me (put the back window on my Leer topper at just over their cost, and with no labor charges, then as a bonus they wired the interior light, even though I didn't buy the shell from them.) I think that warrants a little "free advertising."

They make them still. There are a few variations of them too, like ski, jib, ride, etc.

I always have a US Ski Team sticker on my trucks but that's about it. When I get the cruiser back on the road i'm planning on putting some expedition portal stickers on it in support of this forum since I think it is great. Other then that nada. Oh, my conferr basket has a TLCA sticker on it from the guy I bought it from (Yooper from Ih8mud) but that is it. If I have someone giving me support for my travels I'd be happy to display it but otherwise I don't really see the need. When I was younger I used to plaster them no my cars pretty good. My 'ol VW Thing still is adorned with some Gratefull Dead stickers from another life.:D

Ha Ha that is totally hillarious!!!! Know what you mean about Chero's. But where do you attach on their end? Most don't have tow hooks!!! LOLOL :yikes:

Sorry couldn't resist a good Chero ribbing. We have a bunch in our club and every single one has tow hook issues. Namely - they don't have em and keep wanting to trail, but we have a mandatory tow hooks rule. It's kinda funny and sad at the same time. ;)

Anyway, back to topic...

I am a sticker minimalist. And not to the body. Only windows, bumpers and underbody parts get them - if any. And then there are the type restrictions... Right now I have 7 strategically placed stickers and one is soon to get removed.

Front windshield Top = Club name (not a dot com)
Front windshield lower driver's side = Jrations,
Front windshield lower passenegr side = Happy Bunny "I'm not mean, you're just a sissy",

Rear lift glass Left = Club Logo,
Rear Lift glass Right = Canadian Flag & 2007 Christmas Toy run sticker (to be removed).

Steering gear skid plate = custom graphic to represent my Jeep's name (a rabbit skull n bones motif that refers to the "Rubi Rabbit")

I also have magnetic camo Support the Troops ribbons on each side above "Jeep". But since these are removable and magnetic I don;t count them.

Interesting discussion. The different outlooks on the use/application/types of stickers really shows a variety of specialised camps.

16 Years on ExPo. Whoa!!
I actually collect stickers and have a pretty killer collection.. Themes: mostly ski areas, some ski companies and other relate products, 4WD companies.. Locations of course.. I have probably 500 stickers, a lot of friends who aren't even into stickers dig them sometimes...

Anyway, on that note, I try not to endorse / put stickers of a company unless I really believe it in... I put stickers of locations or sometimes events. I generally try to practice "good, tasteful sticker placing" LOL... So most of my trucks have a few stickers..

For example, my saab. Which I thought was very clean but I added a couple more that I never chose to remove but probably should because it's cluttered...

Think Playa - Black Rock City 2006 - Only people who have been understand...

Jay Peak Vermont - one of the places I skied in college. Very hardcore area that only hardcore skiers in Vermont know/respect/appreciate.. It also (freak) gets more snow than most of Colorado in a year... Another I would put is a Mad River Glen but you know you have sticker mastery when you put on a MRG sticker with "tact" as they are so huge and ugly... Usually involves cutting them up a little, but not making them look cut LOL...

"Utah BIODIESEL Cooperative" Awesome sticker, well designed, I actually did it myself... Only way I justify a biodiesel sticker on a gas car is I am actually director of the Utah Biodiesel Coop...

S for Sweden. I have a love for (older) Swedish cars Volvo/Saab both for the most part before they were bought by GM/Ford... I know everything I know about cars from my '83 245 Volvo wagon that I "souped up" LOL...

Alta Ski area.

A tasteful lacrosse sticker as I still play lacrosse and ran the statewide men's league for two years...
