BTW, I don't think many of you can imagine how excited I am to see the new motor....ok maybe a few of you can imagine.

I had the engine built in 2008/09 and in about one week I finally lay eyes on it for the first time!! It has been a damn long road from conception to being in my hands but the day is close when I will see where all this time and money has gone. I am pretty g*d d*mn excited to say the least! Expect video and pictures of the new motor soon! :D

Right.....only 3+yrs, 1,200 days, 28,800 hours and 1,728,000 minutes leading up to this moment coming in the next 7-8 days. :)

The main way I was able to justify this fecking motor in the last 2yrs was to say to myself, you have more tied up in that engine than you have on an entire truck. I will simply leave it at that.... :smiley_drive:

The motor is at my house!! :D

It cleared customs on Monday and was released. I then had a guy pick it up for me in Long Beach and bring it up to Idaho. Wednesday after work I went over to my buddies house in Idaho and got the truck. Before I brought it home though I had to take it for a drive! And I have to say, I am very impressed with this engine, in short it kicks *** hard! :D

Awesome Ian! Here I was expecting a big wooden crate with stickers all over the sides... but shipping it in the original old truck was probably the best option for protection. That engine does sound pretty motivating - bet you can't wait to dig into the project and start swapping parts; thanks for the rest of the tour of the future build.

We need to look into a wide band o2 sensor and a pyro. Unless something was stupid hot the infrared doesnt tell us anything. Youre going to want real time information. I know, all in due time...

I know and agree bro. But....I think the infrared does show things are running cool like they should.
