I'm from Ct. I have a Ct & a Fl CWP. with those 2 I'm covered in around 40 states. Florida & Utah are the best to have if you want to carry in other states. Florida's permit only took 2-3 weeks to get.

My truck gun is a stock Saiga in 7.62X39 cost 300 bucks with plastic stocks. It lives behind the rear seats of the suburban in the well.

The Saiga is an AK in a standard rifle stock. It's always going to work and getting it scuffed or dinged won't hurt it or me. And with the low cost of 7.62X39 I can plink whenever I want. :)

Being a .30 cal round it can stop any threat or bring down dinner on the hoof.

Since they were so cheap I picked up a couple so if this one gets stolen. Another will take it's place.

Those are great guns. I recently parted with an Arsenal Sgl 31 in 5.45. I am now looking for a 7.62 rifle. Really considering picking up a couple of the saiga rifles to have converted.

Most of the time I only take my ruger 10/22. I used to have a hipoint 995 cabine, and a highly modified yugo SKS. But 2 different people really wanted them so I sold them.

Maybe Im silly but I have been wanting both a tarus judge, and a H&R survivor in 45LC/410. This way I would have a pistol and a rifle that shot the same ammo, and have multiple ammo choices for both firearms. These would be my adventure/camp guns.
I have also consitered a beretta storm CX4 with a matching pistol probably in 9mm for cheap ammo.
I do love a ruger 10/22 OR 77/22, I have had one in one form or another pretty much my whole life but my current one I went retarded building it into a assult rifle and somehow it lost its appeal. It also has something wrong with it currently and doesnt work properly (thats a first for me in a 10/22)
I also take my mossberg 535 pump 12G sometimes, and I have an assorment of hunting rifles for actual hunting duties.

Haggis, that 870 of yours has seen a ton of duty with the US Marine Corps M870 and was put into action around the mid 1970s. I don't currently have an 870 but do own several Mossburg 500s. One is for the fishing boat and for my back when out of the boat, the other is for bird hunting. I have been wanting to buy an 870 for several years now and just haven't gotten around to it.

I have a mossburg 535 and my brother has a 870. To be completely honest I feel the quality is spot on gun for gun. I too thought about buying a 870 but after comparing the 2 it wouldnt really be worth it to replace my mossy.
HOWEVER (big however) I am the type of guy that belives you can never have too many guns! LOL So when I have the spare cash I will probably pick up a 870 anyway.

That 870 of mine is just an old beater gun that keeps on keeping on. It's ugly as sin, has a faded camo paint job by some prevoius owner, has dings all along it's well worn stock, was obtained in a trade for some old truck rims of mine, does not recieve a tenth of the love and care my primetime hunting and target guns get, is in an obvious abusive relationship with its owner and would probably garner sneers by some if they saw it. But it always preforms great whenever it gets the call to hit the field. I think if I went out and gave it a full teardown and some love I might just wipe away the mojo of this old gun.

Just put a down on a Ruger 10/22 Takedown. Well on the wait list to see if any are available.

I was at my gunsmith picking up my custom Walther PPK/S and I got to play with one. They are very nice. I like how Ruger put the knob on to keep the gun from wiggling & on zero at the break down point. That gun is on my short list.

Smith 329PD. Light enough I always have it, powerful enough for anything in North America. 2 speed loaders with 240 grain XTPs at 1300fps.

Or, Mossberg 590 parkerized with ghost rings. Buck over slugs in the tube.

Or, AR with a bunch of mags if things get really crappy.

Then again, I'll steal an LAV from work :)
