U300 Camper

I'm interested to hear a U300 had a gearbox problem. One established seller of older Mogs told me the computer controlled gearboxes should give better reliability since human shifts from fourth to fifth often mean fifth needs rebuilding on an older square cab Mogs. More dependant on abuse levels I suppose?!

Yea, I was surprised too. But there was no doubt that it was grinding badly when it tried to skip from 2 to 4. 3 to 4 was fine, as was downshifting 5 to 4. Talked with Atkinson Vos and they thought it was probably a pretty easy fix??

I've test drove a couple 1300's that did have the 5th problem though. Until you get the hang of it, fifth is tricky.

Probably just the clutch needs replacement
