Definatly a good idea. that roof he has is way up there. That would be a serious mission to get up there with a 10 footer...

Thanks for the compliment. I should be starting on the interior build any day now, but keep blowing it off to go explore, surf, and camp each time I get a few days off. This ATFP is awesome to camp in, even in it's stock form!
"If" I was a longboarder and dead set on having them with me all the time, I would probably have a FWC, ATC, or similar pop up camper like many of the great rigs in the "Camper and Truck Photos" section. The ATFP was alot more affordable and lightweight for my current needs. I also have plans for multiple sleeping options with the slight extra room the LB Tacoma has; stay tuned...
Get what works for you. You'll be much happier in the long run.
The Toyo MT is really more in between an all-terrain and mud tread (neither/nor). They have a cushy ride on my rig @34 psi all around. I also have the center blocks siped, so they don't feel stiff to me at all. Between tire pressure, siping, and ease of balancing (probably due to its 58+ lbs per tire) these have been a really smooth riding, impressive tire for my rig, in the varied conditions I drive here in the PacNW. (BTW this is my 2nd set. I've also run several AT and MT tires on different rigs thru the years). Just my.02 :victory:

Just haven't taken the time to start. I've been busy using the ATFP since the day I picked it up in Prescott.
Every time I get a few days off and a little spare cash we head out somewhere to explore and camp. No extended adventures yet, but attached are a few pics of the rig in use.

2010 Mag Grey Taco
The mag grey taco is mine. Mario installed the FlipPac in July of this year and I have used it for mountain biking trips to Downieville CA, Napa, Prescott AZ, coming up Moab and San Luis Obisbo.
It does have a grey bed rug inside which I installed before the FlipPac went on and it is well worth the money for the comfort. I now also have storage box that Mario built that fits inside the wheelwells and is used as step up to the bed. My mountain biking friends have liked it so much that one has sold his FJ Cruiser to buy a Taco and FlipPac to use on our mountain biking trips and at least one other will be doing the same. The reason for no windows is to keep prying eyes out when we are out riding and the back window is dark tinted for the same reason.
The awning I installed curbside so I can open it when we stop on the road. We use it for shade after rides and was a great choice to buy it.
I will try to get more pictures posted and have enjoyed using the truck for the mountain biking trips and soon some x-cty ski trips.

We've been out using the ATFP quite a bit this summer (exploring/camping/surfing), using it in its nearly stock form.
Loading and unloading storage bins everytime we go out has motivated me to finally start an interior build to help organize our gear, and improve on the ATFP's comfort. Update to follow...

The basic idea was to construct a 3-piece easily removed bench storage system.
I wanted to keep it fairly simple with 2x3 framework and 1/2" birch plywood paneling. (Thanks for the inspiration TacoDoc.)
Comp#1 : forward bench to contain the water storage tank and the eventual National Luna powerpack.
Comp #2 : split storage driver side bench (housing the toilet in the rear compartment) with enough room along the top for an additional bunk space.
Comp #3 : extra seat, dry food storage, fridge/freezer, sliding table/meal prep.
*Each modular piece slides under the bottom edge of the ATFP.
The two side benches are each secured to the front bench by a 3" lag bolt, and completed by turn buckles > D-rings at each rear corner.

I sealed up all the known gaps/holes that were letting in dust, water, and cold air with a combination of bulb seal gasket and heavy duty silicone.
(Thanks to advice and examples from others in previous posts).
Then I made the bed floor of the truck a little more comfortable with some padding/insulation before installing the finished product.
(I really liked the look of the very first Flippac interior I saw a while back, so
I decided to go with that classic wood grain scheme. Thanks VikingVince :ylsmoke
