2 days until we depart for ExpoWest!! Say hi if you see us, we'll be in the dispersed camping area with the rest of you lot! Would be nice to put some faces to names. Safe travels!
Packed and ready to roll!
Agreed!
Agree with everything else in your post as well. As much as I want all of these apps to work, the simplicity and functionality of my Garmin just can't seem to be beat. It's an old Garmin Zumo 550 that I use on my motorcycle as well. Had it for years now and still functions just as...
I think that's the biggest issue for me is most of the apps won't do turn by turn directions. I've tried a bunch but keep finding myself going back to my standalone Garmin/Base camp solution.
Great start, looking good!
I'm still investigating the water tank myself, I think I am going to go with getting a plastic one made to fit the space above the axle. I have yet to find a pre-made one in the right size.
Sorry, I don't have any design pics other then what's in the thread. I just read a lot of the threads on other people's builds and then came up with what would work best for my application. I used square steel tubing for the rack and telescopic steel tubing for the uprights. I think the base...
Thanks!
I'm not sure about the building to spec, they actually had a layout already for an M101A3 but you do fill out a complete spec sheet. Definitely give them a call, they answered all my questions and were great to deal with throughout the transaction.
Have fun..it's addicting!

Kind of a bummer, went to update my Inreach SE this morning and as soon as I plugged it in this is what I saw:
For a device that lives mostly in a padded camera bag, I'm kind of surprised. It has never been dropped, etc. Granted it's still usable especially when connected to my phone.
I...
Thanks! That looks like a great platform combo, looking forward to see where you take it. I've been very tempted to pick up an M116A2 to use as a motorcycle trailer/ hauler of crap trailer. Of course, it's not something I really NEED at the moment but...LOL
I'll be checking our your build...
Thanks! I've been checking out your build thread as well, you are off to a good start. The nice thing about these trailers is you can add to them as your budget allows, which was my method of thinking when I started the build. I wasn't sure how much we would like it, so I started off small...
