Range Rover Diesel Conversion Take 2

Filled the transmission with fresh ATF. Started it up, moved it back and fort a few inches. IT WORKS! Just have to finish the wiring on it. Then I'm done finally with the tranny!

Range Rover Diesel Conversion Take 2

Full manual reverse valve body with engine braking is installed. Wasn’t horrible. The instructions sucked. Kept getting stuck or scared I was going to screw it up. But it’s all back together. I’ll fill it up tomorrow and hopefully take it for a quick spin. All I have left to do is hook up some...

Range Rover Diesel Conversion Take 2

Going in deep here. Full manual reverse shifting valve body in the 700R4. Got it apart. Not nearly as hard as I though. I’ll put it back together tomorrow I’m sick of getting dripped on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Any interest in engine conversion electronics

I wouldn't waste your time on discos. I'd get into Range Rover Classics and Defenders. Those are actually worth money, and will be for some time. Disco's are generally cheap, and owners of them are just getting into Land Rovers.

Range Rover Diesel Conversion Take 2

Yes, i had to take the top off the injection pump, part of the linkage was in the wrong spot. Fixed it on the truck. Idles good now. I had one leaking injector line. I tightened it and it yesterday. Then drove it.

Range Rover Diesel Conversion Take 2

Its already been done. I did that with the 6.2L that was in it. Drove it yesterday. Just need to get a few more things done to it. The turbo wastegate isn't hooked up yet. I'm making my own manual one, so I can set the boost where I want it. Waiting on a new full manual valve body for the...

Ok, I haven't updated in a while. My buddy and I bought some defenders 110's and have been fixing those up. I finally got to work on this last night. The new engine had a 4L80E on it. Unfortunately I didn't realize the flexplate was different until I had the transmission all bolted up and...

Diesel vs gas engine for camping and General purpose

Diesels Torque , mileage, longevity of engine. Done. In other words drive what you want and what you can afford. Stop worrying about trying to look cool. If you can’t afford a diesel no one probably cares anyway. I know I don’t. I can afford my truck and swapped a diesel into my Range...

Do you have a link for the fuel water separator? I haven't ever had water in my diesel. I have a 2013 Cummins and its never had water in the fuel in the 2 years I've had it. It has 60K miles on it.

6.2 is gone. Replaced with this 6.5 center mount turbo. 6.2 was the first motor. I got a good deal on this and decided to go for a turbo'd version.

1980 Land Rover Lightweight Series III Build

Cool build. That steering set-up is weird. I've never noticed that before on a Land Rover Series. Is that what they did with the light weights?
