    100,000 miles

Thanks Carl. The seats look better than they are. After putting some driving time in them I'm not willing to recommend them to anyone. They are good for local short trips, but on anything over 2 hours they kill my knees. We're working on a fix for that and will post up when its finished.

LED Flood Lights for a Teardrop Trailer

Similar, and from Northern, we use these. If your looking for just a little light these are probably more than you want. We use ours as back up lights for those after dark camp site arrivals, flood lights to wash dishes by, or when we're asleep and we hear something wandering around the...

    100,000 miles

After spending 9 days on a camping(Coopers Rock State Park, WV) and family visiting trip (NW PA) the Tundra crossed another milestone. The odometer rolled over that magical 200,000 mile mark on the 1st of July.

The CrowsWing - Offroad Teardrop Trailer

Oh I almost forgot the cutting board. Beth actually did this last summer, but it tucks up so nicely above the oven we've forgotten to take photos of it. If you're using the stove it slides all the way out and mounts to the drawer below the stove for an instant work surface. Our kitchen...

The CrowsWing - Offroad Teardrop Trailer

In between camping and working we've been doing a few modifications on the CrowsWing. First, and actually before camping season started we added a couple of Fulton Drop Leg Jacks. We did this partially to stabilize the trailer while parked, but also to aid the hitching process during those...

UAV-TD (Urban Assualt Vehicle - tear drop) build

Ha! That's actually where we're at: the design parameters for the second trailer and how to improve from the first one. Zuk: That's turning out nicely! We had originally thought it unnecessary to insulate the hatch, but now we realize the kitchen gets quite warm with the hatch closed and the...

    100,000 miles

The Tundra Refurbishment Project is still underway. Today was resolving an issue the truck had from day 1 of ownership and I had no idea of how to deal with it. The first gen access cab Tundra comes with 1 sunglasses holder. It's between the sunvisors and holds 1 pair of sunglasses. I don't...

    Suggestions for Tongue Length

We used 1/2 the width of the truck, and added to that the length of the propane locker and tongue box. The trailer can jack knife without the propane locker touching the truck....it's close but no touch.

    Little Guy Modification

Yeah but his is a 6 wide and has quite a lot of extras (ie, its heavy) on it most Little Guy trailers don't come with. Don't hesitate to ask Bill about his trailer. The Silver Shadow (a Little Guy trailer) we rented a few years ago had a box tube frame and felt sturdy enough. Certainly good...

UAV-TD (Urban Assualt Vehicle - tear drop) build

What clear are you using? Some of them almost require a fine natural hair brush (or find something recommended for the coating you are using) and a very slow steady application to keep air bubbles to a minimum. Brushing fast or roll on application results in those air bubbles which ad it dries...
