Can anyone tell me at what mileage these vehicles start becoming money pits? Like to get a good heads up on any major repair bills since both of these would be starting at 170K miles.

Definitely! I'm sure he can help you get online with us! You can have him actually sign in and you can speak through his mic as long as he's there. It would be good to have you join us!

You'd have to find someone in your area that could dial into the IRLP reflector for you. Do you know any local hams? If so they could do that and you could just listen to the repeater.

Ahh so the AM mode setting is for receive only then? It's not capable of transmitting on AM at all? I've never tried to listen to aircraft before. Thanks for the info, I might play aroudn with those bands to see if I can pick up anything.
