Question about bull bars and bumpers

The way they are built and the way they attach to the vehicle. Push bars are built for the purpose of pushing disabled and stranded vehicles out of traffic lanes for the safety of those in the vehicle in question and other motorists. As such, they need to be able to withstand the force of one...

MY DREAM BUILD… ULTRA-LIGHT "GO FAST" CAMPER.

I've installed it as countertop a few times. While Paperstone is lighter than Corian (~105 lbs per cuft to ~90 lbs per cuft IIRC), it's not a significant weight savings. I think using easily replaceable HDPE (~50 lbs per cuft) would be the tits for something like this. However, after revisiting...

    Boden Build - 2015 Tacoma DCLB 4wd

We're heading south from Portland April 9th come hell or high water. I don't think that'll be too late based on my time living in the desert. I'll be doing the majority of my planning over the next month or so. I'll let you know if I have questions as they arise.

The dieimma of purchasing a new Toyota

Before my wife went back to school she was commuting 2 miles each way in a '90 Civic. I think I only gassed that thing up 5 or 6 times a year. Of course around the same time I was putting 35-40k on my '94 pickup. I loved that truck...

    Boden Build - 2015 Tacoma DCLB 4wd

Awesome. My brother, sister and I are currently planning a trip across Death Valley and Mojave in the spring. It'll be the first thing we've ever done together without our parents, spouses, or kids. Ever. Every time I see pictures of the area I get more excited.

The dieimma of purchasing a new Toyota

Funny thing, full coverage insurance on my '16 Tacoma is going to be $15 a year more than what I pay for liability only on my $1200 trash haul'n, boat launch'n '94 F-250 ****box. Licence and registration will be a wash. Fully plan on making it a one of those million mile trucks, got 350k out of...

4x4 Toyota Truck // Chinook Pop-Top Conversion Build

Good old No Warranty Or Return. They've got a well deserved rep as a **** place to send your money. It's been ten years I've been waiting on torsion bars or a refund. I do live considerably closer these days though, maybe I should pay them a visit...

Am i reading this correctly? 2016 taco still has rear drum brakes...

Just the slushboxes. Proper three pedal setup always had a dash brake (until now).

On that note, how about that handbrake? I'm curious how long it's going to take before I stop reaching for the dash brake that isn't there.

Am i reading this correctly? 2016 taco still has rear drum brakes...

Engine, brakes, frame, sure it could be better but I'm fine with all of it and I know what I'm getting. What I actually care about is the thing that GM isn't delivering:

Offroad in a New 2016 Taco

This is disappointing and I feel like they are trying to phase manuals out completely. Fortunately they still offer the combo I want (partner AND spawn in tow) so I'm jumping on it now rather than continue to wait for complete obsolescence.

Am i reading this correctly? 2016 taco still has rear drum brakes...

It gets even worse with certain model grades, straight from the owner's manual: Mine shows up in another month or so, I'm sure I'll be overloading it on a somewhat regular basis...

Hey ARB, what can you tell us about this snorkle that magically appeared between the teaser photos and the SEMA floor?

    Insulation? What are you using?

I've heard of people having the same sad results using roofing material, specifically ice and water shield, in hot climates. You've got to use a dedicated automotive product for that. I did every cabin panel including the roof of a black vehicle with RAAMmat and it held up just fine through 3...

Damn. I knew that. We get a lot of overland rigs running through town, I grabbed the right pic but had a Patrol on my mind.

    Toyota spotted in Hollywood

So, are the large N4, Euro 4x4and whatever the gecko on the hood is decals indicative of anything or just the equivalent of slapping a giant Warn decal on the hood here in the states? I ask because I saw a similarly decaled Nissan about two months ago:
