Gladiator Pop-Up Pass Through Camper Build

I love what your doing and building! As for a "camp bike"/"runabout" I gotta say the Surron is an amazing option. I love KLR's (both large and small) but, for most camp duties and exploration and easy of loading/unloading I'd go with the e-bike. Jerry (owner of Tembo Tusk/skottle) has had one...

Gladiator Pop-Up Pass Through Camper Build

People under appreciate the Ozarks, Southern Missouri, Northern Arkansas, etc.....I grew-up spending summers and hunting seasons in those areas. So many magical areas to experience and feel at home in. I now live in the Colorado Rockies and they have there own beauty and magic but, I still miss...

Thanks! Yep. There are two things I chose this bike to do. 1) Long distance travel. Mainly highway/ two-lane runs back and forth from Colorado to visit my family and friends in Kansas City, Mo. and points in between. I've already got the Tenere aluminum panniers and rack for the road travel...

2024 Colorado/Utah Adventure MotoCamp Run. Planning

I'm putting together our annual Adventure Ride for this year. Looks like it'll be around August or September again and I'm in the process of finalizing the route. The run will start and return to the Denver area and be approx 5-7 days of riding and camping. It'll include several high passes...

I love this quote! I need to share it with my lovely wife! Crossed fingers!! I head out to northern Wyoming this weekend to pickup my Unicorn bike! The 2022 Tenere T700 in Tec Black with a 1000 miles on it. They only made the Tec Black in 21-22 and it's the one I've been searching...

It was ridiculously long! We (2 of us) left the Ouray side around 1pm and met up with a group of 8 heavy adventure riders (BMW 800/1200, Africa Twins, KTM 990, etc...) at the trail head and headed up together. The Ouray side is a f@#$ing mess from all the SxS traffic. The steeper parts are just...

Believe it or not but, Telluride, Colorado has an amazing city camping ground in the downtown area at the end of main street. Brand new showers and creek side campsites. An awesome place after spending 8 hours getting over Imogene Pass with 10 motorcycles!

Sewing Thread....A discussion on making your own adventure textile gear.

Another fun side project for a friend that needs a heavy duty case for his Gen3 Starlink system. Since he and his family travel the world and his gear gets a great deal of use I decided to over build this case for their adventures! Started with black Ballistic 1750D nylon exterior, 1000d...

    quiet generator options?

Generally speaking get a small Honda gen. I've been running the same Honda 2000 for over 20 years on 3 different Truck Campers and now our Tiger camper and trailer. Of course, make sure it'll start-up your AC unit but, it'll have no problem with lights, microwave, blow driers, etc.... Also...

Sewing Thread....A discussion on making your own adventure textile gear.

The largest nylon thread your machine can handle and can still punch through the material. Here's a great brand/example of a bonded thread similar to what I use. I purchase bulk from my commercial supplier so this is as similar as it gets. Nylon is UV resistant (not as much as Poly Thread) but...
