2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Uberlanding Build

Add another vote for not being a big fan of hood mounted light bars. Love the pronghorn bumpers, but they are pricey. Full width bumper with no accessories? $1640. Then take into account it's not actually a full width bumper. It's a stubby with essentially bolt on end caps. And for a...

1992 Toyota Land Cruiser Wagon Turbo Diesel

Found in Ontario Canada... Finds like this make me second guess the direction I ended up going. 176k kilometers. $9800 Canadian loonies. Not a lot of info in the ad. http://ontario.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-cars-trucks-1992-Toyota-Land-Cruiser-Wagon-Turbo-Diesel-W0QQAdIdZ566953322

    Baby Jeep 2015 Renegade?

I like it, and if it helps them keep the Wrangler true to form, even better. The Trailhawk looks like it would be a blast as a mini run-around with off pavement prowess (in its class), and I can already see it with steel front and rear bumpers, and a little 8k winch up front. However; if it...

7 days, 7,231kms. Western USA, QPDO style!

Great report, great car, and great proof that you don't need mud or a 4x4 to write an excellent trip report.

    Wrangler Unlimited grille

To each their own... if the grille is really that large a sticking point, I suggest a different vehicle.

JKs with RTTs. What rack to use?

Any particular reason a roof rack is the only option being considered? What about permanently mounted pop up tents? Some of these still allow you to mount gutter rails for light objects if required. I have been through the same debate with myself and that is what I have been thinking about.

So how are the JKs holding up?

2012 JKUR auto. Zero issues so far. I off road, do my own maintenance, etc. The mileage is absolute crap though. I get like 15 city, 17-18 highway. That's completely stock. Edit: 4.10s from factory.

2014 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon HeliNomad Build

As an alternative to the FLIR, you could just slam into the deer with that bumper and suffer no damage at all. Just sayin ;)

    Willys Wheeler Wrangler

I honestly don't think the Willy's edition is that bad, all things considered. I would have liked to have seen it with an open front D44 to match the rear semi, and the moab bumpers. Also take off that stupid bumper cladding.

    Diff Breather Installation JK Wrangler

This is exactly what I did. Cost practically zero, and was a 0 on the difficulty and time required scale. A 2 beer job at most.

    JK longjevity question

I own a '12 JKUR and love it. Obviously can't speak to longevity, as it's only a year and a half old. So far no issues however  I don't understand your decision making process... already have an LJ, which you are keeping... and $60k for the new build. What purpose is the LJ going to...

    goofiefoot's 2009 JKUR

I recently won this step in an online give away from Northridge 4x4 and M.O.R.E. Once I receive it, I'll post up some thoughts.

New Product! TeraFlex MP Tailgate Tables!

Looks like a decent table, though pricey like all tailgate tables. Looking forward to seeing some real life reviews re: weight, noise in cabin, fit, finish, etc. Also just to reiterate, the link provided does not seem to work.

What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

Nothing fun, but requisites for southern Ontario living. Put the door bolts back on, and greased them. Cleaned, oiled, lubed the hi-lift in prep for winter. It's externally mounted so we'll see how it holds up during the winter months.

    Slow Build: 2013 JK

I've had my JKUR for a little over a year on stock suspension and it does just fine unloaded. Hate how it squats when loaded down though. How bad is the wind noise on the Gobi while running the hard top? A rack is very much on my list.

What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

Took my antenna off the front of my JK. The spot looks perfect for a second "trail rated" circular badge to match the drivers side, so I inquired as to price. $53 for a circular piece of plastic. Chrysler parts division, as politely as I can manage: go **** yourselves.

    Cowl snorkel or actual snorkel??

I've had my Jeep about a year up here in Canada, and a snorkel is right up at the top of my list next to a better skid plate for my trans. I've done two "Oh ****!!" water crossings with water over my hood (not due to excess speed), and both times I thought I was going to clench my entire seat...

    2014 Rubicon X package ?

Interesting to see that the Rubicon X seems to be a 10A just without 10A badges... Kind of sucks for the 10A guys though.
