    what's a d4d?

Whoever told you they pay that kind of money for them in europe is talking total garbage! Over here a 06 SWB manual d4d would fetch between €7k to €9k depending on condition, the auto ones would make a bit more because the manual box was generally in the base models, and the auto is a...

What did you do to your Mitsubishi today?

Changed a radius arm,had a gen 3 3.2 on loan a few weeks ago,it had been fully polybushed and it was nothing but rattles and squeaks so I decided I'd get a radius arm out of my shogun that has rubber bushes to stop my pajero feeling like a defender. Also clipped up my brake pipes properly,bled...

We haven't had snow that stuck to what it landed on in the south coast of Ireland in years, around 4 if I remember right. I was like a child when I saw this last night! I think this was November 2010 Today the snow was replaced with 160KM/h winds

    Who's is this...

Mitsubishi didn't really do a good job on the pajero manual box, even the current ones like to spontaneously erupt, the ones in the Evos didn't last long at all. Even a gen 4 with 20k KM on the clock feels notch as *******,the DMFs are big money to replace in them too,so I'd personally give them a...

    Who's is this...

My friends father had one about 3 years ago. . . . MY GOD!!! the power was amazing! Said it was murder to get even the simplest of parts though,so I'd hate to see what way it is in the states :Wow1: The interior was really fancy on it too, recaro seats similar to the lancer evo,all carbon on...

HELP !! Can some one please tell me the Year of this Mitsubishi Pajero

Hard to tell by them pictures. To get a gauge on the age you're best looking on the inside at the climate control unit,if it is one with 2 rows of buttons and a red 7 segment display of temperature it is pre mid 95,after that it got a LCD and a knob for the temperature. The gauge dials changed...

    Official Cooper STT thread

I got them for my Pajero secondhand for small money, with about 12mm on them in 35 x 12.5 15 flavour. They are pretty nice on the road, good in the wet too. Tried them twice in sloppy wet mud and wasn't awfully impressed, they deform nicely at around 18psi. Waiting to see how they wear,my rims...

    Dangit i want some gauges!

There's a sort of a storage tray in their place, about as much use as the altimeter really. But the altimeter and tilt metre are a good conversation starter if nothing else

Judging interest for group buy 4D56T (Hyundai D4BF)

It depends on the transmission code,I tried put a 2.8 up against a 3.0 24v and while they are the same box,the bell housing pattern is different. The 2.5 and the 3.0 12v probably use the same box, I'll find out later. You will need a flexplate from a 2.5 if you are putting it onto an auto.

    Would better tires have helped

If you are trying to justify new tyres then, yes they would have helped [emoji3] In reality there's not a lot you can do when something like that happens unless you've specialist tyres that are good at digging through that kind of slop

    Violent Shifting

Mine did something similar to that for a while, the housing for the kick down cable was broken, and causing the cable to get stuck at full pulled length. There is a temp sender for the gearbox on my engine, but I think it is to stop it going into overdrive until it is warmed up

Best way to install LED ribbon lights inside truck

I have them stuck to the paintwork under my bonnet and they have held up for the past 2 years without peeling,Best thing to do is make sure the surface is totally clean by rubbing some methylated spirit or isopropyl onto the surface to get any contaminants off it. The way I put it onto the...

That roof rack looks sweet,as does the truck as a whole. What is the orange thingys on the front? Here is mine with my 35" coopers for daily usage, keeping the silverstone tyres for more gruelling stuff. Sheared a rear left wheel stud a few months back so I need to replace that. I've to park it...

The Life and Times of my Pajero

As usual I've not updated this thread in ages, not done much to the pajero in the last while. Bought these tyres for next to nothing to stop my other Silverstone tyres getting worn down 35" Cooper STTs,going to get them mounted onto my rims during the week, also ordered some new nuts to go with...

Talk me out of buying a Jimny in Canada

I had a 00 1.3 as my first car, then had an Impreza, and then back to the Jimny. It was so uncomfortable compared to the impreza, underpowered, cramped, noisy, thirsty . . . My girlfriend actually said her tits were being rattled after being in it down a road the Impreza danced down. BUT . . ...

    Gen 3 diesel swap

The later ones got the VNT,maybe in 2008 and after,up until then they had a plain ole turbo. Only the post 96 pajeros from japan got the EDC pump, most of the rest of the word kept the mechanical injector pump. You can tell the EDC models by the fact they've 16" wheels to accommodate the bigger...

    Gen 3 diesel swap

Would you be better getting the engine from another LHD country than getting one set up for rhd and trying to adapt bets to fit? The 3.2l are really nice, but sound tractorish compared to the 4m40. You would most likely need yo get a half cut to get the swap done right, it would save a lot of...

    i can't read my dipstick

Is one side in Japanese and the other side in English? :sombrero: Id recommend cleaning it up and grinding some notches into the edges so it is easy enough to see. Or see can you compare your own dipstick to someone else's so that you can be sure that it is a mitzi one

    Lightbare wiring question

No need for a resistor, all light bars have their own drivers and regulators built in,even the really cheap ones. Are you going to be putting it through a switch or a feed from the main beams from the headlights? You'll need a relay for sure, and a fuse to go between the battery and the relay...
