Flatbed FWC pics and input appreciated?

This tray was built for a permanently mounted custom camper. There is no deck as you would expect with a removable set up.

Flatbed FWC pics and input appreciated?

The Flatbed camper is bolted to the tray on the vehicle. No truck chassis are flat so we make leveling blocks that are bolted or welded to the chassis, we then use a vibration insulating block that is placed between the block and the mounting points on the tray. We have done a number of these...

    Ford 7.3L Diesel Question

Pete, ask for the codes so we can find out what's going on and offer sound advice. It does sound like a glow plug problem. Ford would have installed new plugs but the dealer may have installed them using the original harness. The harnesses are prone to getting brittle and the wires cracking...

    FWC (Grandby) vs. Second Place

I personally own a Northstar that is about the same size as a Grandby, I use it with my F250. This camper is not light by any sense of the imagination, it causes the truck to act like a boat in a heavy swell, and increases my diesel consumption dramatically. Nicely outfitted, but it's like...

    Jerry cans, which to choose?

You should be fine. Remember the NATO can is compliant, the regular spout is the issue. If you want to be compliant buy a CARB spout for your NATO cans. Ownership of older or non-compliant cans is not the issue. You just won't be able to buy non compliant cans from a vendor, the thought being...

    Jerry cans, which to choose?

Yes I agree with you re. the CARB states. It's a little confusing as the NATO can itself passes CARB compliance, the pour spout that we sell with the can is also CARB compliant. Standard pour spouts are not CARB compliant. We have to sell a spout with every can to be compliant. The Scepter...

    Jerry cans, which to choose?

The NATO style cans are only illegal if you are in one of the CARB States. The exception is the CARB approved fuel can with the NATO closure that we sell. http://store.adventuretrailers.com/carb-compliant-nato-fuel-can/

    Jerry cans, which to choose?

This is the Scepter can which we can not be currently purchase in the USA. In my opinion this style of fuel can is by far superior than anything available to your south and people who own Scepter cans in the US horde them like gold. The spout is not usually included with the can and needs to be...

    Suspension travel question

Trailers do seem to be packed full, so if you work on that premise and fill every nook and cranny it's going to be heavy. I don't think the heavy duty air bags are overkill or will have any negative effect on the ride. Keep us all posted with pictures of your build.

    Suspension travel question

Sounds like an interesting build. Curious why the 6K axle and the heavy duty air springs? How big is the trailer going to be and what are you carrying?

    Wheel Adapter Strength Validation

I can't attest to the strength of the adapters you have, but, I have a set at the shop that are 5 on 5 to 5 on 150mm and there is 3/8" of an inch of material between the bore and the edge on the back side, and over 1/2" between the edge and the threads on the studs at the front. The problem...

    flippac waterproofing

Billy, SLO needs to make the Fly out of a water resistant material. The material they currently use gets waterlogged. I made the suggestion to Karl but it wasn't acted upon.

    flippac waterproofing

The Flippac tent is designed to be used with a fly sheet. The inner tent is made from a material that isn't water resistant and will shed the water inside the shell.

National Luna Split-Charge System Charging Issues?

We always recommend turning off the display when the vehicle will not be in use for longer than a day. I am more inclined to turn the display off when I stop using the vehicle at the end of the day. Electrical problems are tricky and without thorough diagnostics it's easy to identify one part...

    Little Guy Silver Shadow

You never need brakes on a light weight trailer......until you need them. We recommend them for every trailer you can never get enough braking. In off road situation they are always helpful and can be used to pull the trailer around obstacles, or allow the trailer to go over an obstacle. The...
