thats cheating when you take the head off... makes it too easy!
I see you commented on my youtube video where I use the rope and hand crank the engine to keep the valves from falling in. Funny thing is two weeks before I made that video, I had the heads off to replace the had gasket.... didn't...
I used the locker from a 95 with the 4.63 gearing. Swapping out the stock 4.29 gearing.
Because I went from locker to locker, everything just worked.
Also, as it turns out the axles from the (gen 2) are different then the 00. the 00 has a different setup for ABS. At least this is true for...
when you do find a gen 2.5, pull out the locker pump bracket... that will make it a cleaner install.
Thats pretty awesome that it's already wired.
I'll keep an eye out for a 2.5 at the parts near me.
I used a sylvania kit on my 03 limited. It's basically a series of wet sands with increasingly fine sand paper. The magic is the final sealer wipe. It basically transforms the lights from "ehhhh. This is ok I guess" to "holy crap these things are brand new!!"
I pulled the lights out, it's quick...
Are we talking about iOS (iPhone and iPad) or OSX (desktop computers and laptops) ? I don't think you'll get it to work on iOS, but should be able to work with OSX
Sent from my iPhone
I think this is what I did...

pretty sure I have the cheap knock-off cable from amazon
go to youtube and search for "dip your car", these guys are a group out of florida who sell plastidip by the gallon. For a few hundred bucks you can get enough plastidip and a sprayer to spray your car. They have several videos of long term plastidip application and removal, and the condition...
I try to put the bolts back into the holes they came from after I remove a part. Typically, you can thread them in a few turns. If I can't put the bolts back in a few threads, I try to put the bolts in the part they belong to (which works until you pick up the part a few days later and they...
maybe you got a bad copy? I picked up one of the UV-B5 radios, but I couldn't turn the volume down 100%, there was always sound coming through, even with volume all the way down. The volume was very sensitive as well. I figured it was broken, so I sent it back and got another one, it had the...
On the gen three I can see where the oil is coming out from the front of the engine, then onto the oil pan, then onto one of the catalytic converter since it's just behind the oil pan. I'm just not sure if the oil is leaking from a camshaft seal or the crankshaft seal. I did read that someone...
I've used a pair of needle nose pliers. the tension isn't that much... something like 2-4 ft lbs
Also, the rod is super easy to push back into the tensioner... just put it into a vise and close the vise very slowly. if you don't have a spare pin, you can use a small drill bit just as easily
I forget how I did it on my '99 3.5, but when I did my '03 3.8, I used binder clips to hold the belt to the cams.
I also found that if I backed the crank back about 3/4s of a tooth counter clockwise, when I turned the engine/crank the slack between the crank and driver's side cam came out and...
On my '03 limited (3.8L), I did the timing belt a couple of months ago, while I had the crank shaft pulley and sprocket pulled off, I replaced the crank seal. But over the last month after a longer drive, I can still smell a little oil burning. While replacing the drivers side rack and pinion...
