They are Goodyear Wrangler Authoritys E rated. They are only sold by Walmart. I've talked to several people running them an d have heard nothing but good. Getting ready to go put them on now if I can find those &%$# steelie lug nuts.
I recently had to do brakes on my D2. The fronts started squealing some and each time the boys would pop up. There was still plenty of material on the pads, but they were just noisy. At least on my truck noisy brakes will trigger the amigos. I replaced with Wagner pads and no problems since.
Finally got to visit and drive the new baby. It's been a while since I drove an old school truck with no power steering or syncro trannie. The body was spectacular. It has great paint and bedlinered interior The frame not so much. Most of it was surface rust, but there are a few places we'll be...
He said it runs and drives well and has very little rust (only surface). I'm anxious to see what all is there. I do expect a rough ride with those tires though! :coffeedrink:
If the new brake pads make any noise that can cause the three amigos. I recently dealt with this on my '04 d2. I started hearing some squeal and the boys Would appear. I took everything apart and reassembled it but still had amigos and squeal. Changed out pads even though there was plenty left...
