I've been using a regular Tepui Kukenam since 2012 and it is in great shape. We do weekends and week long trips spread throughout the year. There are marks, dings and spots, but not anything that is leaky or unstable. Take care of it and it'll do the job. I also store it in the garage and it...

Beach driving at Corolla, NC. 2015. You can see the trailer in the side mirror at :20. I'm still working on editing video and pictures from that trip. I'll try to add more and better trailer footage later. I'm just learning how to use Movie Maker and...
Just getting started with the electrical. Shore power and short outings thus far. I have not tested the solar charger yet. I'm thinking it might be too light, but we don't really use a lot of power. Just phone charging and minimal LED lighting.
I ended up going to Tennessee. Spent a couple of nights up near Sylco along 221. Bout got run over by a herd of hogs around 11 Friday night. There were at least twenty of them. Got a good close up on this rattler too.
Here's camp.

Thanks for the kind words. Hope you're well. I was actually trying to decide if I was gonna head out tonight or wait till morning, but I wanna go ride some dirt and camp in the hills this weekend. Are you staying at McKinney all weekend?
I installed the battery tender, solar charging maintainer, inverter and the shore power plug last night. I'm getting my remote box set up for use in the RTT, but my switches haven't arrived yet and I haven't settled on the fixtures I'm going to use for interior and exterior lighting. Here is...
If I had it to do again, I'd use 1x1 tubing as interior supports and 14g sheet metal for the skin. I think going lighter than that would be too thin.
Thanks,
I'm getting around to putting the electrical in now. I started with a 95ahr battery and the usual hardware for a cigarette lighter and USB port hook up. I'll eventually add the shore plug and battery tender, solar charger and inverter. But, for now, I just need to charge phones and small...
I have one too...They don't stand up to thunderstorms unless you have them guyed out perfectly. I need some new plastic couplings to repair mine. REI doesn't warranty them after one year and they don't sell the replacement couplings. There is a site, which I can't remember right now that...
We loved the idea of the extension. Hauling it around is a pain in the FJ though. It just doesn't fit anywhere easily, except where the boats need to go. Other than that, It's great once it's up and working. Ours has a leak and I will have to find and seal it. Tepui offered to take it back, but...
