I have a question:
How do you pack, stow, mount, carry, cram or otherwise drag your extension around with you in your chosen vehicle. I'm trying to determine the best method. Once again, I've found that I carry to much stuff.
The extension still might work though. You could remove the Tepui's "corded" flap by unzipping it and then see if the other companies awning would zip to the awning directly. That would require an extension in hand which might not be feasible. Just a thought.
Mine was like that when I bought it. I took ratchet straps and squeezed the &*(^ out of it and bolted it closed. Once that was done, I welded the top into position and bolted it on. It hasn't moved an millimeter. Of course, that method limits the use of the tailgate, but I wasn't worried about...
