Please don't take this wrong but I going to ask some questions based on MY experiences traveling around the USA and other countries.
You mention 30 days in the field with no resupply...that is a long time so not visit a town. And that is almost impossible unless you are staying in a small area...
So Land Rover Las Vegas, any response to the feelings that the Nature Conservancy is anti-4x4?
What is their record in Nevada?
Did you guys already have a strong working relationship with them?
I noticed in the statement of theirs above that THEY are allowed 4wd use on THEIR land but no one...
Howdy POS and welcome...
a 1/2t burb 4x4 , very nice.
I love my 70 burb and it is no where near as great looking as yours.
Where in Texas are you...I was born in Amarillo and lived outside San Antonio but now I am in Phx.
Nick (Nobin on here) has a super cool 72 burb that is Cummins powered and...
There are threads with sleep inside platforms in FJC's here on Expo and on the fjcruiserforums, ih8mud....that would give you some under platform storage also.
Personally the money for the trailer would be better spent on the trip itself, matter of fact made every third night in a hotel (or...
absolutely keep the TBI....
altitude will mess with your carb
off camber will mess with your carb
There are millions of miles put on basic TBI setups and so like others have said, get some spart parts and be happy.
If you are solo and short enough then remove the back seats and you can do a sleep inside on the FJC.
If that doesn't work I would go with a teardrop over any other trailer or RTT...the reason is you are moving each day and setup/teardown becomes a grind.
Also I really would recommend an awning...
depending on the dates I would seriously be up for that....
I should have my interior done by then and looking forward to a diesel conversion after so this would be a nice inbetween run.
Thanks for the offer and let me know the dates & number of days you are thinking about.
Now this is Expo-Amazing
what a story you could make up to go with this image
Have things really changed over the years?
Then or now we what we love about our rigs is how they get us to cool places..
better to change your mind now than AFTER it has sold....too often I regret something a year later and I can't get it back.
besides the more you improve it the more it is worth if you do sell it :)
great info...
I have AAA in Arizona and when I had my Sportsmobile it was covered by Farmers Insurance.
Never any tow issues and great service.
Thanks for prompting me to look deeper into my coverage just in case.
Well honestly enforcement was always lacking due to money/time/logistics...so in reality this will make little difference on the ground.
Emotionally and politically this might mean something, but I doubt it.
I have been on many a trip where Waymon had this trailer, someone is gonna get a great deal as he has always taken perfect care of it and the thing looks new.
All the cool features in a nice small setup.
wow what a bunch of work since I last checked this thread....I gotta keep up.
Really looking forward to your fuel mileage reports when all said and done as I still have not moved on my 6.2 conversion yet.
