    Eastern Arizona - July 2010

WOW what a great looking local outing....I didn't know about most of the area you covered but it sure is on the list now. The Taco & FlipPac look great, any issues on the outing? Living without a fridge....I don't think I could ever do that again...sure I have to when we are with the Boy Scout...

Is a FJ62 a bad idea as a “expedition” rig?

first of all welcome... second of all, make sure to spend some time on ih8mud.com as it's main focus is Toyota Land Cruisers third the 62 is a rock solid platform with some things to be aware of... leaf springs could mean a harsher ride than some like they are getting older but parts aren't...

    Southern NM Weekend

nice run and thanks for keeping New Mexico on our minds....here in Arizona many of us forget our eastern play area :) I dig it when the weather threatens but never hits, that makes for great sky images but no hassle to the camping. Oh and the waterfall was a cool feature!

    What's a 1994 4x4 e350 worth?

you might find more value info on the sportsmobileforum.com and searching for sale ads.. the age is an issue but the mileage isn't bad...either way $13,000 seems high but without pics, info on rust, ideas about maint it is really hard to say. As to the Quigley conversion you will get all kinds...

Picked up a Roll-A-Table for Camping

Good info that these are USA made...and sold at REI which would give you the lifetime coverage if something does break. I might just have to go take a look....and thanks for the heads up on the accessories!

    EarthRoamer XV-LTS (S for Stretch)

This part I agree with completely...our builds often push the limits of the designs and shorten the live of the rig. Ahh the balance of what I want to take vs what I need to take vs what I can take :) Point well made RR.

    American Fork Canyon 8-21-10

18 rigs, wow that is a good size group! But I gotta say I like the range of rigs on this run, you guys are great to welcome them all. The pics are killer, I especially like the dog in the window :) Is the cabin you mentioned something newer built on the land or an old cabin? I always wonder...

    defender?

I wonder what a 130 double cab with a FlipPac would look like...that might be sweet. Good to know about the leg room issue. I have always been in lust with the 110 4dr wagon look, it is pure classic. However I wonder if the 130 double cab wouldn't be better with it's higher GVW and more...

    New Guy planning....help please!

Save the money on gear and just go :) If it was ME and so please understand we are talking ME... the order of importance for a 20 day camping trip using your rig... Air Compressor - get a good one as you will air down & up almost daily (I love my Extreme Outback setup) Tire Plug Kit - get the...

    EarthRoamer XV-LTS (S for Stretch)

Bloated American vehicles... you need to look at the thread from the German Allrad show, or any of the threads that show the Unicat UniMog Mann Tata rigs that are built in Europe for Africa. Those are way bigger than an Earthroamer. Having traveled Baja with an Earthroamer in my group and...

    defender?

The real bummer of it is to see the dealership prices in other countries that make these rigs right in line with a tacoma or f-150 :(

    San Juan Trip August 2010

Great pics and story from an epic area...I have run those trails a number of times and never get tired of seeing the images. I really like the pics of the deer near camp, crazy how used to people they are. So tell more about this Dutch Oven Dessert that went down so well.
