in need of a new camp axe or hatchet

my fiskars splitting axe is the same way. It gets chips and gouges and i definitely dont abuse it. I always used it chopping on top of a large stump so its not like I was splitting into the ground. It sharpened back out fine using a lansky puck, but still. I have yet to use the husqvarna...

1973 Wagoneer - Full Size Camping Goodness

Definitely got some use out of the wag this weekend. Headed out at 10am on Sunday for what was supposed to be a stock friendly easy trail ride. Long story short, it was wet, muddy, and rutted out in a number of spots. The wagoneer was all sideways coming down some switchbacks. It was a group of...

    Camper shell finishing?

thanks for the heads up. a buddy of mine has access to super 90 would that be enough? So far my plan is this: Light: 8 LED 12v lights, from ebay. mounted up on the top edges of the shell. mounted with adhesive or velcro. Power: a single 3 port 12v pod mounted to the shell flange (that rides...

    Ammo can idea thread

So are there really like zero uses for the big 3' tall 120mm mortar cans? A local guy has like 6 pallets he is selling at a decent price (he cant seem to get rid of them) and really the only thing I can think of using it for would be tool storage, like folding shovel, axes, hatchets, a jack...

    Lumpskie's 1989 Grand Wagoneer Build

I'm not sure if i envy or pity you for having a wife that enjoys driving the wag! Mine hates it and damn near refuses....but I'm not sure i'd want the competition if she did like it! but then again yours probably drives like a somewhat normal vehicle.

    Camper shell finishing?

Hi. I've never had a camper shell before. I just bought one for my little pickemuptruck the other day. This truck is less than a DD only being driven on occasional weekends, but gets taken camping/fishing/shooting, carries our bikes around (though i have a hitch bike rack so they wouldnt even...

    2010 patriot soft roader build.

We have a bit of an advantage because tire rack has a warehouse here. I just place an order and go pick em up, no shipping. In the end for the 32's (some 16" wheel metric equivalent) I think was like $328.00 for the 4 tires after rebate, then about $70 to get them mounted and balanced at...

    NorNv Desert Heat

I hear ya. I'm from NH originally and this Reno weather is cute to say the least. 8" of snow was a big deal, 18 is considered cold. I been backpacking through -40 degree weather up in the white mountains. But yes, its all relative, cold is cold, just like hot is hot. Here everybody bitches...

Thats what I have on my Dakota, but they are about 32" tire. So far they have been great in the dirt on the roads and in the snow. I got them on the truck mounted for something like $115 per tire because of rebates and stuff.

1973 Wagoneer - Full Size Camping Goodness

Wish I had some updates. Other than putting around the desert behind our house and taking a road trip to carson city and genoa, wag has been sitting still, parked outback. All time money and efforts have been focused on the new house.

Power windows are for the birds! Haha, just kidding. Good work. At least the panels in these things are easy to remove and dont have all sorts of weird clips and pins and stuff.
