NPR 4wd conversion and camper build thread.

I have to bleed brakes, wire all the lights, flush out the block then fill with antifreeze and water then power up the transmission controller and it should be roadworthy. Oh also gotta mount some seats. But yeah, the to do list is never ending.

NPR 4wd conversion and camper build thread.

It runs! Getting closer to roadworthy but plenty to do still https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1517512218358667&id=411780185598548&refsrc=https%3A%2F%2Fm.facebook.com%2FCoffeyFabrication%2Fvideos%2F1517512218358667%2F&_rdr

    Keeping your bottles safe

A nice bottle of mezcal would fill that empty spot well. Cool setup!

    Isuzu npr 4x4 conversion

Going the route you are planning, for simplicity I would do the divorced T case if you have enough room to do that. Or a different transmission swapped in with accompanying T case. NV4500 trans perhaps? I am using a D60 from an 02 Superduty as that is what came with the truck. It's a high pinion...

Hydronic vs. Non-Hydronic Heating. (Air & Water)

Another thing worth mentioning is the need for another pump to circulate coolant if you have the two systems separated by a heat exchanger. Not sure that hose expansion is as big of an issue as you think it is considering installs have been done like this for years without issue. I've never...

Hydronic vs. Non-Hydronic Heating. (Air & Water)

The engine water pump works the same amount all the time at any given rpm.

Hydronic vs. Non-Hydronic Heating. (Air & Water)

If you share coolant throughout the engine and camper system you would plumb it like you would the heater core on a car. Appropriate rubber hose or hard lines. I don't see how adding an espar on to an engine system would create any issues with pressure. The pressure is controlled by the cap.

Hydronic vs. Non-Hydronic Heating. (Air & Water)

Why is that safe? Do you mean between the engine system and the hydronic heater?

    What options in the U.S.?

Or a custom build like I am doing. Adding a transfer case and front axle to an existing 2wd NPR is doable.

Anyone using a Espar B5 Hydronic heater ?

I have a D5 but haven't installed it yet. My understanding is the the reliability and serviceability is great though.

Hydronic vs. Non-Hydronic Heating. (Air & Water)

I chose hydronic for a few reasons besides engine preheat. I wanted hot water from it also, I will be attempting a fanless heating system to cut down on power draw and noise, I would also like a floor heat circuit.

2018 Your Pick: Expedition Base Vehicle Recommendations

If I was doing a smaller platform build it would be a van like a sportmobile for sure. Sprinter type vans are nice but not appealing to me and are too much work to fit large tires. Much simpler than a drop in camper in a pickup.

    adjustable rack questions.

Do you want to manually lift it up or have assistance? It can be as simple as nesting tubes and pins or bolts.

Any shop making a Custom Snorkel?

Stainless is pretty slow to transfer heat so once the engine was running, I doubt it would transfer much heat to the intake air.

1991 310P, 4x4, Little bit of help needed, axle sourcing...

Any shop that narrows axles should be able to put it in their jig. Probably just needs the end cut off and rewelded straight.

Do you know where exactly it's bent at?

1991 310P, 4x4, Little bit of help needed, axle sourcing...

Maybe take it apart, remove the broken stub at the differential end and reassemble with the out half. So the axle housing is bent? You could probably strip it down completely and find a fab shop to straighten it and perhaps reinforce it.

Any shop making a Custom Snorkel?

I can build it. I would need your truck though. Where do you live? Surely there is an automotive fab shop nearby?
