I've actually been looking at a Raptor, however If I did that then I would have to give up my 2014 street glide and I really don't wanna do that. The Raptor is really nice but I can't help but look at my truck and see all the possible potential that it has with the exception of the suspension. I've also looked at long travel suspension's but then read how the whole dynamic of the truck changes and that it becomes a big money pit with that type of suspension and requires a lot of maintenance to keep up. As far as your experiences with taking your truck over-landing, have you gone way off grid and been able to take your truck places that Jeeps can only go?

Dude get a raptor then!

Define "where jeeps can only go"... I don't believe there is such a thing. Most of the guys on here could go anywhere a jeep can go.

Am I hitting the Rubicon, hell no. Am I doing intense rock crawling, no.

To clarify, I mainly spend my time in the Anza Borrego Desert and the mountains in and around Southern CA. I also used to live in Northern AZ where I would go down a dirt road and find some remote area to camp and hunt for a few days. Yes, our trucks have limitations and you will get stuck when you push it to far but that's honestly all part of the off road experience. There is 0 need for the biggest and baddest truck or jeep to be able to go have fun.

Ha, I can beat the doors off on that Raptor all day long. That 103 cc is a beast!

I have an 01 road glide cvo, crap load of work done to it, its "fast". I mean, in the world of crusiers it's fast. IN the world of other bikes its molasses. My stock versys 650 blows the doors off it. So, saying a Harley is fast is like saying mcdonalds burger meat is grade a quality. my bike dyno'ed at 105/107. Still, it is NOT fast. Plus, the raptor will go many places and carry stuff that the 103 can't ha ha.

The update.. I finished the body lift and I put on the side steps. Now the family can easily get in/out and I didn't even lose ground clearance. :0)

Looks awesome. You really can't tell there is a body lift there. I am going to do the rear shackle lift and torsion crank up front. And I am done. Its pretty good ground clearance wise as is. Much better than the new f150s that's for sure. We took my fathers 07 moose hunting one time and stuff I would fly over in my Dakota at the time, the f150 would hit its front control arm cross member. Bad design from the beginning.

That's a great looking body lift. What kit did you use? Did it include the bumper relocation or did you swizzle that yourself? Do you have a rear receiver? If so, what did you do about that?

I used Performance Accessories 3" in kit with bumper brackets. My truck came with a Hidden hitch that really isn't all that hidden anymore, lol.

The only thing I'm dissatisfied with right now is how low my Tail pipes are hanging. It was fine before but now I'm going to need to raise them up a few inches or re route them completely.

A little mall crawling with my munchkin for a new Router. She insisted on the picture, lol.

While we were there we looked at some Heise led off road lights, has anyone used them? http://heiseled.com/

awesome. truck looks great. Kids love lifted rigs. What is the correct bolt pattern and a good offset for wheels for our trucks. I am hunting down a set for my rig.
