33 x 10.50 safety...???

Do not confuse track width with tire width. You can widen your stance with tires, but you can also do it with wheels.

Widen your track width when you add height.

Widen your tires if you have a rock garden in your back yard.

I run 33x10.50's BFG KM2's on my single cab 2000 tacoma. I have drove in the NM rain, snow, sand, mud, and pavement without any problems. Taken a few corners faster than what I should have and did not feel uncomfortable about losing traction, just the body roll :smiley_drive:

Anyways, Get the 10.50's, you will not regret it.

I ran 33 x 9.50 R15 BFG MT for many years on the factory rims, even competing succesfully on that tire in Florida and California in the Safari Triathlon. I have since switched to 285/75R16 for the higher load rating (essentially a 33 x 10.50). 18 years of tall skinny tires on my MJ with 347,000 miles...and no problems.
