Aftermarket?

Are those factory sliders or has Toyota already contacted some of the aftermarket vendors?

I now need and excuse to sell my 07 Tacoma...........

Those sliders are similiar to the ones run on the 100 with the Toyota trail team.

Reason to sell 07 Taco - Smart purchase with excellent resale value, should be easy to move.

I really like the looks of this new rig! Hopefully my current 4RnR will last until I can pick one of these up at a vastly reduced price. :ylsmoke:

yes. You can see the e-locker solenoid on the new axle

Dang crossover exhaust is still there but I can clearly see the E-Locker activation solenoid!

Rear shocks look to have the same lower mounts.

No solenoid on the transfer case!

Looks almost 100% like my Tacoma underneath... same placement of everything.

$40k seems pretty steep, but sign me up anyway. That thing is HOT! Actually looks like a decent size too - big enough to be useful, but small enough to get places. Most current SUVs either seem to be too big (Tahoe, Land Cruiser) or too small (Xterra, older 4Runners), which is partly why I went with the Trooper.

True. I was meaning a good reason to sell the Taco is because it has good resale value and you would probably get most of your money back. Unlike most other vehicles that drop like a rock after purchase.

Always use the improved safety reason - "It has more safety features" and the boss (wife) usually falls for it. My wife does not, I have used that one too many times.

Center diff clarification. I see mentioned that the manual t-case does not have a center diff. Does this mean there is no center diff or that it does not have a center diff lock and unlock function without switching to 4HI. I thought it still had a center diff, it is just controlled with the lever.

I really like it, especially the fender flares. The front bumper makes me wonder what the aftermarket will come up with. Its got alot of curves and some weird angles.

Agreed - a 2010 4Runner with ARB bumper, winch, sliders, snorkel, drawers, fridge and Maggiolina should be a very safe vehicle. Man, the things I do for the wellbeing of my family.

We had one in the shop a few weeks back - I love the new design but the hydraulic sway bar equalization setup we saw was way funky!

X2 The only reason the wife let me trade in my 08 taco for my 08 fj was the curtain airbags:D

I would probably go fuel mileage and safety coming from a 100. I will test drive and see if it is a possibility.

Any answer on the center diff question?
