'98 disco1
I can speak with somewhat of experience now, I bought my 50th anniversary series disco1 ten months ago, have brought it from 92k to 102k- have spent about $800.00 in maintainance, which is high for me. fuel efficiency is so so, but this is a TRUCK... very heavy, feels great driving it. I tow a 14' travel trailer and it does great, no swaying. my other vehicle is a '07 honda pilot, and the difference it like solid steel next to aluminum (alum being the pilot)
steering box does leak!
other than that, it's good to go!
wish it wasn't so expensive to add accessories, I sure need them. I want to lift it, install a ABS grill, winch, rock sliders, and an expedition rack. may have to sell my ford '53 NAA tractor to afford to fix it up.
I wonder, buying parts to fix up, I guess they're good for resell if the disco bites the dust? I hate to put $$$ into it for nothing.
cheers all
