Spent the weekend at San Onofre beach with the fam. Knocked the dust off of the Jayco Baja (my wife's toy) and LOVED the way the truck tows with the new Demello rear bumper. Tongue weight seems to be perfect, nice flat tow and feels very stable at all speeds. Just like OEM

Magnaflow

Finally got around to the exhaust. The stock crossover pipe on the 2nd Gen Tacoma is notorious for hanging just below the cross member (WTH Toyota?) and since skid plates are finally in my future I wanted that belly flat

Took it to Bear Valley Exhaust in Murrieta for the surgery as well as the addition of a Magnaflow exhaust. I really like the way it sounds (not ricer but a nice rumble for a V6) and Magnaflow is made right here in USA (Rancho Santa Margarita in SoCal).

Any "before" pictures of the exhaust crossover? The 4Runner is a little different in that area but I am looking for ideas.

Yeah, typical exhaust shop work. Not pretty but it feels and sounds great and most importantly it's up out of the way. I have some titanium exhaust wrap coming from Summit that will protect the T-case and that U-joint. Overall I am very happy with how this turned out.

Good thing is that they guarantee their work, the boss is a stand up guy so I'm good.

LED lighting upgrades

I decided to upgrade all my bulbs to LED's

If you dont use an electronic flasher relay, the blinker will blink too fast, based on the lower load of an LED but there is an easy solution (easier than individual resistors) for 2nd gen Tacomas: upgrade the blinker relay to an electronic flasher.

Our blinkers have 8 pins so to run LED blinkers you need one CF18-08 flasher. Found here. http://www.superbrightleds.com/flashers.htm
