If you are interested in the vans I posted in NC, just have the dealer drop it off at UJ in NC.
Otherwise, $2/mi sounds cheap for someone who is a legit hauler and is insured.
$2/mile seems high for longer trip. If I wanted a vehicle shipped from back east it would be $7000 for 60 hours on the road. Probably be done in five days making it $1400 a day.
In the past, if you weren’t in a big hurry, transport jobs would posted and different haulers would quote on them and you could choose the best quote you were comfortable with. With a little luck you’d find a hauler that was going in the direction with an empty truck and you would save a bit only paying them for one direction.
If I didn’t have a ton of other commitments I’d drive across the country for $1400 usd a day. One trip would cover the cost of a car I’m considering buying.
