Am I interpreting this to mean there is no interior cooking offerings as yet?

I really do not know for sure (i.e., I am a customer, not an XV-JP salesperson), just relating that they were looking at a possible microwave option. You should give them a call and ask.

I know that for my Jeep and most of the other owners of JPs that I know, we all opted not to have a permanent interior cooking option. Even if it were permanent, it would need to be at least removable (i.e. semi-permanent). I really enjoy cooking outside, if the weather is fair.

I am sure there are many considerations EarthRoamer will need to evaluate if they will offer an interior stove solution, being that the top is essentially a tent.

Regarding if other systems are developmentally mature, you should ask them that as well. I know that my Jeep (#6) has exceeded my expectations. The water system, shower, water heater, heater, etc. all work awesome.

Ive seen an advertisement here in australia for the 4x4 action magazine...they are doing a reviw on this very Jeep, or one that look almost identical to it on their latest dvd that comes with the mag.

have they made a version of the Earthroamer conversion for a dual cab 05+ Tacoma? as I have a 07 hilux dualcab and would be interested to see what they could do with a dual cab ute configuration?

how much has fitting this affected your centre of gravity and vehicle bodyroll when offroad?

The Jeep is quite wide, and ER did a good job on keeping the really heavy bits down low. For example, the two group 31 batteries are at the frame level.

The Jeep did well on the Central America trip.

I have a question though. Instead of having the top extend forward past the windshield, acting like a parachute, why not chop off the section where those lights are housed and slant the forward face back? Good gas mileage is good for expeditions.

The EarthRoamer Jeep is currrently just sold as a complete truck, so the composite cabin is not available separately, just as an integrated unit with the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimted under it.

The shell, which is exactly the dimensions required for the Jeep, is molded, so there's not the prospect of fitting it to a lot of different trucks, as each truck would require a somewhat different mold. So while it would be possible for EarthRoamer to supply empty cabins to mount to Unlimited (four-door) JKs, it's be tough to make this cabin work for multiple trucks.

Two reasons. The first is that the tent attaches somewhat forward on the nose cone so that means that even with the tent slanting at the front, there's full standing height in the cabin (and also the front part of the tent gets tucked into this "nose cone" when stored). Maybe a picture will help:

The other reason is that when the tent is raised, the nose cone provides a substantial amount of storage, or even sleeping space for a small child if you fabbed up a railing.
