I just met the globetour.fr family. Looks like they're heading down into Mexico in their very nice Rover.

They were pulling a popup trailer behind them and had no compliants about the extra space. Props to them to make such a journey with 3 teenagers.

They appeared to be doing it in style and had no problem with a little juice when my sons and I saw them.

Very cool! One could almost make a Toyota Troop Carrier look like that rig....

Nice shot of the Tetons there. I wonder if they knew someone there, as that viewpoint is almost certainly on private property.

That Defender and camper body is great, looks similar to one Doug Hackney ran across awhile back.

pskhaat - that set up give you any ideas for travelling with three? You'll have 3 teenagers of your own soon enough.... :coffee:

Three teenagers. Whew.

Think of the possibilities should the need arise to kick them out of "the house."

To a degree, I like the idea of traveling with teenagers over toddlers because - for starters - they don't poo in their pants, or need help wiping, and they can feed themselves. But the space constraints alone are, um, considerable.

So...you've traveled with KC then...

I know when I went thru there several years ago (10 or so), there was one dirt 2 track you could still take that might have given that same scene.

Could be Al... I was thinking it looked like an area owned by Spring Creek Ranch on West Gros Ventre Butte, particularly their access to the Snake River. Hard to say for sure.

The Tetons never disappoint do they? Maybe I should go up this weekend for a closer look... :peepwall:

KC,

I'm thinking that shot was taken from River Rd. looking west over Jenny Lake. I think those roads are closed in winter.

Location

As a former Wyoming resident (from the 'hood), I actually believe this picture was taken at approximately +43.6588-110.6671 (or roughly nearby :) ) east of 191.

GE let's us do some pretty good approximating despite the depth-of-field control:
