So this is my solution to carrying and transferring extra fuel
Ok so I started with a flo n go max flo that I got off of amazon

The hose wasn't quite long enough so I went and got some 1/2 in hose to extend the length out ( I need to cut it down some now it's too long ) also got some 1/2in plastic junctions and some tube clamps
Ended up with this

So I have 3 fuel tanks that I can use (2) 5gal tanks and (1) 6gal boat fuel tank.

I trimmed the fuel pick up tube so it would be just above the bottom of the 5 gal tanks and for the boat tank I just put it in at an angle.
All 3 will be mounted on the front side of the rack.

And to get flow started just push down on the black tab and give the handle a few priming pumps and then just hold it open. The flow is pretty good once it starts flowing. Now I just need to make some thing to hold the handle full open so I don't have to hold my hand on it.
5 gal

6 gal

Obviously there is enough slack to just leave the tanks all strapped down and just remove the caps and just insert the fuel pic up tube. All done and coiled up.

Wouldn't have to move them for the siphon either- gravity is your friend for a change ;-)

True but the super siphon doesn't seal the gas can. This set up could be left on the can and still keep it sealed from the elements. Both are good set ups tho

Sweet, thanks.
I'm currently looking for ideas for a 3rd battery on my 03' Dodge without mounting it in the bed.

Are you sure you need a 3rd battery? My stock 2 battery system has worked fine for years - even for winter camping. I don't run a refrigerator off the battery but I have run my diesel heater for a couple nights in a row in 0 deg F conditions.

I'm sure I could get by with my 2 stock batteries, but the peace of mind of having a 3rd completely seperate battery is worth it to me, especially when camping somewhere without cellular service or anybody else within a reasonable distance.

Unless you build a custom frame mounted battery box, most trucks I've seen mount in the bed. I ended up going that route too.
Not great carpentry work... but functional.
