I am considering this winch for my Lexus LX-450

Any good or bad experiences with this winch, the reviews seem to be good so far!

Oh! and the price is 389.00 including shipping thru Costco!

Would this winch fit my ARB Bumper?

As long as it has the standard 4x10 ounting pattern, it should fit no problem. But, Milemarker winches are substantially slower under load than just about everything else out there. If line pull speed is a concern, stick with Warn or T-Max.

China, I believe.

Get a Smittybuilt winch if you're looking at a Milemarker- they're made in the same factory from what I understand.

In my experience, Warn winches just last longer and pull harder/faster than the cheaper brands. You do get what you pay for. You'll be more likely to want to keep the winch when you sell the car.

This was the point of my question. Warn-branded winches I think are all still made in Oregon. I'd rather pay the extra $200 for a M8000, which has been in production for a long time and parts and customer service are available.

Parts availability is certainly one thing going for Warns, as is their build quality and reliability. There are certainly other brands out there that make a good quality product (Superwinch, for one), but I have yet to see one that consistently puts out the kind of quality engineering that Warn does. For that, I'll pay a premium. There's been too many times when my vehicle and body have depended on a winch to have it any other way.

M8000 for less than $500 to your door!

If you buy from 4wheelparts, they seem to have a 10% off promo deal going at the moment. M8000-100-roller is $525.99-10% = 473.30+19.95 shipping.

When I bought one from them they had a $50 gift card deal, which is more or less the same deal.

If you order from them, make sure you give them a working daytime phone number, though, since the winches come truck ship (but they'll unload at a residence for free) and the truck ship guys won't leave the winch without talking to you. They tried to re-deliver mine four times before they thought to leave a note for me; I had only given my home number which I never answer and has no answering machine. A quick call to their main office had the winch sitting on my patio the next day.

One quick side-note for folks who are thinking about the M8000 and similar winches: the integrated solenoid models, if they work for your application (space, clearances, airflow) are probably a better monetary deal. The total cost for additional wire (2ga welding cable =$2/foot, 2ga marine grade wire = $6/foot), terminals, and labor to remote-mount my solenoids ate up much of the cost savings of the M8000, took extra time to get things installed and working, and required a bunch of running around to get parts.

EDIT: I still have the $50 gift card that they sent me and can't really think of anything else I want to order from them right now. If someone wants to buy it from me or has something interesting to trade for it, I'm all ears.

I must have bought mine at the same time you did (early spring?) but mine came by way of standard UPS.
