So, i`m finally back working on the motodog. Now i need to fix some designing errors that i made. The first is to fabricate a new intermediate shaft, the one that sheared and second is to triangulate the secondary drive. Should be done pretty fast and then i can finish the track.

Just need some suggestions on the final drive ratio. At the moment i`m at about 1,5 to to motorcycle drivetrain. I think this is too fast, so what should i go with? 2,25? 3?
Anyone know what the transmission ratio is in those motorcycles? Especially in first?

Removed the drive axle first:

Couldn`t get the bearing off so i drilled out the shaft and cooled it from the inside:

Want to reuse the sprocket flange so i hole sawed it off:

And hole sawed a new hub:

And welded it together:

Started machining the new intermediate shaft:

Bored out the sprocket:

And the flange for the other sprocket:

Then i preheated it:

And welded it in sequenzes:

Welded the sprocket flange first today:

Then i started modifying the drive axle. Funny that i got all those machines and have to use the hack saw:

Turned it down:

Bored out the new sprocket:

Turned a stub shaft:

And welded it:

Welded a piece of tubing to the drive axle:

Turned the bearing diameter:

Finished:

And ground and used a radius tool bit:

First i finished the intermediate shaft today:

Then i bored out the tubing :

Turned down the sprocket:

Looks good:

Welded together:

And put together both shafts:
