That is a sweet rig.

I got a chance to met Chris and check out V3 in person.Sweeeeeeet!Def some van porn around there. That suspension is beefy and the rear skid system is awesome. There is enough room between the rear skid and the floor of the van body to use for storage. When I saw it,my first though went to those sealable under bed storage containers.A few bungees and you're golden.Sorry Chris,I was gonna mention that but we got off on another build subject.

I also got a chance to check out the hacked up Quigly van.I am relieved to know that Chris will be doing his conversion. The hack job on the Quigly van was scary.I'm glad the owner realized it before he or someone else was injured or worse.

Still planning to come up and let my girl friend check out the Ranger. That's another sweet truck.Maybe she will see that I am not as crazy as she thinks I am.

If you guys are in the area, contact Chris and check out his builds. You will not regret it.

Rolled out of bed early today to deliver V3. A quick 4.5 hrs later, I made the special delivery! The van drove & ran great, I think it got 17-18mpg's!!!!!!

Chris,
What gears are the V3 running? I've found some axles with 3.73 and just trying to get a feel for the mpg.

I got 17 once with 4:10s and stock tires I now get between 12 and 14 depending on weather I am towing or not. 4:10s 37 inch tires and heavy foot! I am going on a trip in a few weeks that will be mostly empty out and at sea level so I will be curious what I get then. With my gears and tires my happy spot is a little over 80 mph on the highway it just has that "happy feel" at that speed and I like to get with it when I am traveling so it works for me. I have been thinking about going to 5:13s or 4:88s I usually am towing when I am driving and if I am not towing I am 4wheeling. Empty rips rarely happen so for me the best fuel economy when loaded and crawl ratio when wheeling is what I am after.

The lighting isn't very good, but here's a pic of the Front bumper & skid installed on the Ranger. 4 Hella 500's should help on the back roads.

Alright, here are some pics of the van I started today. It was a Quigley van, and someone decided to lift it, and.... well take a look for yourself!

And how the van looks now. We got most of the metal cut off & cleaned up today, finish up tomorrow so we can install the spring perches & get the spring hangers installed.
