The Green GrassCat has moved back to Southern Ca and is the hands of its new owner, Hector (loremordred). I'm sure it will serve him well as it did me. It's kind of funny how a mechanical thing can become your friend, I'm going to miss it for sure.
I've replaced it with a 1994 5 speed and 1995...

Are you sure it wasn't 5' x 5' x 1/2" Russian birch plywood? That's what I made the others out of. Well the first was Russian apple wood, but that's been awhile.
A green pump handle around here would be diesel. I thought that was a National thing, but I guess not.
I'm sure you will find most of the parts under your truck will be original.
Mine was doing the same as yours and also burning up alternators because of the oil getting into them. I change the valve cover gasket and that didn't stop it. I change the cam seals and that fixed the problem.
So change both to be sure you fix the problem.
Don't the wheel wells get in the way and prevent it from doing that?
On my 1998 the front seat lays down far enough to make a small bed, but a bit cramped.
1. Because the rectangular plastic snorkels look like they were an OEM accessory and some were.
2. Everyone know a snorkel is a magnet for the opposite sex and pipe just won't get it.
3. It's all about the look and plumbing pipe just won't do it.
4. Pipe looks like a vent for some plumbing...
