    Soft sides in windy conditions

Back when we had our Kamparoo trailer, being a full soft side tent setup, anything at 10mph or above caused a flapping noise that made it hard to sleep. We then moved to our FWC Granby and it is SO quiet. We have been in 30mph sustained winds with 50mph gusts. Outside of the rocking of the...

    Short Bed vs. Long Bed

Nope, no scrapes of anything. I am very experienced at driving and have 100% confidence in my spotter (TacoDoc). I just love showing this video to people who don't think a big, fullsize truck with camper can wheel tough trails. :D

New Four Wheel UTE Flat Bed Model Coming Soon ...

I'm loving this setup. It could get me to change from our current setup. :)

    Short Bed vs. Long Bed

Club Cab, long bed hasn't been any issues for me and I love the larger camper.

    quality winches?

Might want to also look at the Superwinch Talon series. Seems like a very nice unit for a reasonable price. I'll looking at the 12K version with synthetic line for my Dodge.

any pics of SRW truck with flatbed/camper combo?

My plan is to go with a aluminum flat bed, boxes and our FWC. Already bought a used flat bed but am waiting until after Overland Expo before starting.

Anyone ever broken a Pull Pal?

Maybe I am missing something but how does a Pull Pal remove fence posts? Pull Pal is an anchor point. A Hi Lift on the other hand could be used for pulling out fence posts. Confused...

    How wide are my wheels!?

Most Chevy C1500's of that era typically were 15x7. Too narrow for the tire you're choosing. I think 8" is about as narrow as you'll want to go.

    2005 Unimog U500 - GXV's Original Camper

Glad you finally got it sold. I know it is a VERY nice rig, even just looking around the outside. I tried to convince the wife to sell the house and everything else and hit the road but she wasn't having it. LOL :D

    Holy Grail Truck

Nice score. Funny, when I read the title, I knew it was a '98 12V quad cab. LOL :D

New to site, non traditional ideas perhaps?

Holy crap! I'm paying $225 per month on 5 vehicles and our FWC.

    Need duel rear shocks

Yep, great time at DR. That was you on the side waiting. We were boogeying along. First, don't take this wrong but my name for those shocks is Pro-Crap. I have owned one set and never again. Since we never take the camper off, I had the springs built to the specific needs and my buddy at...

    Need duel rear shocks

Hi Brian, is there any specific reason for this? Dual rears is not common. What do you have currently? I know with our FWC in the heavy Dodge, I was concerned about heat fade so I when with a Bilstien 5160 remote reservior shocks, combined with my National Springs built springs all around...

Adventure Build: 2001 Dodge Cummins QCSB

Awesome work. I have been looking to do this exact mod with my current brace. I completely understand about "big truck" tools. I too had to go buy a 250 ft./lb. torque wrench. :D

A new twist on bed mounted RTT's

Practice A LOT. Flux-core welding suck IMHO. It's not very clean and much harder to get a nice bead than a gas unit. You try a gas rig and you'll never touch a flux-core setup again. Practice with your scrap and if the welds are coming out looking like crap without good penitration, let me...

A new twist on bed mounted RTT's

Not that I would call myself an expert but I have been welding projects for the last 15 years or so. I would be happy to help teach you some tricks. What type of welder are you using (MIG with gas, MIG with flux core wire, TIG, Arc) and if MIG, what size wire? I am free Saturday afternoon...

    FS: 1976 Chevy 1-Ton 513ci Cadillac V8 Custom Truck 4WD 525hp 650ft/lbs NC

Nice truck. I hope you can get a price you are after. I know in my area, this is likely a $4000-$6000 rig. Engine swaps I know scare a lot of people, since it makes it harder for people to walk into a parts store and say I have XXX but need a part for YYY engine. Parts people tend to get the...

A new twist on bed mounted RTT's

OMG!!! You could have come over and used my 1" hole saw in my drill press and been done in about a half hour. Ideally a Rotabroach would be best, as they work fast and very clean holes but hole saws work well if the tolerances can be a little loose. Nice design and idea on the system.
